Here's what I did once...
So should I? I've debated drawing them before, but I don't consider myself a good artist...
*Correction* I don't consider myself an artist because I think I can't draw. Please be honest.
On the left is someone based of off me, and on the right is a LEGO minifigure slightly based of off me...

Give it a try, practice makes perfect

Why don't you just try doing some sketches and uploading them?
You never know till you try, and of course

I've never tried drawing anything before, until I started drawing ponies. I got alot of good feedback on here, and it made me feel good that I can draw well and people loved it. Go for it. I'm sure you are a great artist. Just keep practicing, and you should get better at it. (:

I have a version of the Twilight done... (To be honest, I 'copied' off of it...) though I think that it doesn't look right. Anypony want to see it?

The original edited... looks better, but not quite good enough...

The second try... Much better...

The second try edited. I like this one... I'm going to try the others before I improve on it.

So I want your honest opinion... for a first time pony drawer, how did I do?

Yes you should. If you want to draw something, then why not? Who cares if you're not the best artist? You're still drawing something you like, and that's good in my book!

You're doing good so far! Better than I did at least.
IMO, your first try looks a bit better. Seeing how not only does it have her cutie mark, but her body tone is more proportional in them.
