It's not something I really like to consider, but it is always a thought that won't leave the back of my head. I know that one day the series itself will eventually end, and I wonder "What'll happen to the community after it all ends?" Will we continue to strive and produce more fan stuff? Will we just slowly die down? Or will we just remain at a point between the two? What are your thoughts on this? Just the thought makes me feel sad.
(I apologize if this has already been posted before).

To me, MLP feels like something special that no other show I've seen has achieved. And I know that for many, it's lifted them out of the pits of depression, even suicide. MLP has given meaning to many people, from all over the world, and taught them love and tolerance-and how to strive to make the Earth a better place.

One does not simply forget a life-changing lesson like that. MLP will always be in my heart.

The show will end eventually, all things do. But I feel that as long as people put out content, the fandom wont ever really die. I mean people are still fans of Mickey Mouse for example.

I absolutely love and agree with this. No show today has managed to accomplish what MLP has, nor will they be able to. It's fun to watch and it even teaches lessons that a lot of people could truly learn from. Hopefully, we continue to strive.

I suspect some of the community will leave to other communitys. However I figure the community will stay, lots of other dead shows still have a community.

I actually think the Friendship is Magic gen will go on for quite awhile. I mean look how well its doing, look how many fans and products their selling off it, why ever end it when its doing so well.

If Hasbro are smart and don't end it in about a year and keep it going as long as possible then i think the fanbase will grow to a point where everyone on earth is a Brony. Scientists will then try to communicate with the Pony dimension and forge a portal into their world. Architects will design real life replicas of buildings from Ponyville. Everyone will be involved in the Brony religion and see Celestia as our God. Medical professionals will modify human genes to enable us to spawn a Cutie mark on our butts and human evolution will evolve into us walking on all fours and growing tails and stylish manes.

So if it ends, eventually, it will be sad, but who cares? We'll be a pony :]

I don't think I'd become sad, cuz' than I'd be able to look back and say that this was one of the better communities I have belonged to. Plus it seems unlikely that everyone would forget about it either, for better or worse.

When FiM ends, the next generation of ponies will learn from their old mistakes, and the new show will rise from the ashes of FiM like some kind of TV phoenix. Then it will be good to be a brony. Remember, Hasbro knows bronys will buy and watch, and hopefully they will script accordingly. Or maybe MLP will turn back into its old format, and bronys will continue reminiscing of the FiM days, producing fan content still. Either way, MLP as a franchise will not stop until no-one is watching and buying. Again, either way cannot possibly stop the bronys. I like to think bronyism is about to see its golden age.

The show really has changed a lot of lives. Plenty of fans of dead series exist and FiM won't be any different. The community is so large there will always be people to put out more content. Even right now most of the appeal of the show comes from connections made through the community. It won't just be forgotten and disappear overnight.

MLP gonna end sometime in the future? No biggie

This community will continues to grow. Even other fandoms could survive long after their favourite writers put down their pen, why can't we?

Yes, all good things must come to an end; but that doesn't mean FIM couldn't spawn a sequel. If the developers know what they'll be doing, it would be like Star Trek all over again. You remember how the Original Series was legendary in its own right, and the sequel, The Next Generation, was just as masterful. I for one, do hope it follows that path.

This made me laugh so hard. LOL.

I think even after the series ends, it will live on forever in DVD form, like the totally cool and amazing "Invader Zim." People will hoard complete DVD collections of all the episodes to eventually show to their own children, and grandchildren. This is my plan, at least.

I'm sure even if Hasbro DID try to end FiM prematurely, the brony community would probably revolt and find a way to keep it going.
I can easily imagine something like all the bronies coming together, buying the MLP franchise, and continuing it separately from Hasbro. Or a big brony rebellion!

I know nothing like that is likely to ever happen, but I know that the fans of the show would be dedicated enough to do anything necessary to keep the show running if it were ever on the chopping block.
We're just that awesome and committed!

I will be sad if it ends but I'm hoping this won't happen for a long time, I hope the community grows and doesnt die out just because the show ends. Heck, new people will start watching it and more people will join the community. xD
