Hey all,

I'm still pretty new here as you can probably tell, and I have only very limited experience with roleplays. I was wondering what the proper process is to get involved. I read the sticky articles on it, but those offered only general information on how to play once you participate. I was wondering, from a complete newb's perspective, how does one get involved in roleplaying on this site?

Sorry if this is the wrong area to post or if there is a thread explaining this that I missed.

I'm a newish roleplayer too, but you pick it up fast first you can go to here:

and find a roleplay the red tag 'searching' once you find a roleplay that is relevant to your interests go here:

and create the character you wish the roleplay as.

Then wait for the spots to fill up and for the roleplay to start here:

Once you start the roleplay you will make an 'introduction' sort of post as to how you came to be there, or if you just woke-up sort of stuff.
You can write about what you see, feel, or think (in italics).
Interacting with the other players is a crucial part in enjoying a rolepley,
and alas everything else you will learn by doing

Uh, so to get into a roleplay, is it best to try to join while it's still in OOC or Searching status?

• Roleplay World System (Very important if you haven't read this one. This one explains everything as clearly as can be explained.)

• A General Guide to Roleplaying (This might be what you're looking for. Explains exactly how to roleplay for complete and utter newbies.)

Searching status is when they're looking for new members and accepting. It's best to join then.
