So as I was watching the season finale I got this idea in my head after seeing this (go to 22 second mark):



The art style reminded me very much of My Life as a Teenage Robot at that point (espescially the eyes), then I sort of thought she seemed reminiscent of a MLaaTR villain overall (although I dislike using the term villain, only feeding her subjects after all).

She is probably closest to the queen of the Cluster from MLaaTR.

I did hear somewhere that one of the people working on the show was possibly the man who came up with MLaaTR, so I guess he could have had something to do with it.

Any opinions on this, maybe it is just me? (Maybe I'm just crazy )

I personally liked MLaaTR, so I think it is sort of cool!

Personally, I still think she looks a bit like Aku, from Samurai Jack at that point.

I was getting a lot of Zerg vibes from the changelings. Maybe not the shapeshifting thing, but the whole hive-minded-insect-swarm-led-by-a-crazy-and-extremely-powerful-queen thing.

Wow! how did I not notice that one earlier? Well, I guess it goes to show that there's far more to this than I originally thought.
