I think an option to choose which badge (of which you have unlocked) to wear would be great. I would prefer to wear Phoenix than Pony, Pegasus, or Unicorn (and I'll probably never reach Brony). I'm pretty sure others would appreciate this option as well.

I second the notion.

I would love to use Pegasus over anything, once I've attained it.

There has been a reason for this - I think its because by allowing people to choose their badges, it takes away the feeling of exclusivity of earning a badge. For if you decided you wanted to switch from cupcake to muffin repeatedly for kicks, then it would take away the fun behind earning the badges in the first place.

Nah, I'd rather it be like other forums' ranking systems.

IMO, if you would change the rank to something you're not (i.e. below what yours really is at the time), it would be simply taking the whole point out of the ranking system in the first place.

In all seriousness, this is not possible to implement in IP.Board the way it is currently designed. It may be possible to achieve using some extensive custom development, but I just don't see the point. They're ranks for a reason, and letting you choose which one is shown would completely defeat the purpose of the system.

Does a major wear the rank slides of a private for fun? Ok, so thats a terrible comparison, but you get the point.
