What if we could choose our own banner from a selection as our personal banner?

I think we should keep the home page ones, because, i like to see what the admins have picked, but guess, more options on our own profiles? like facebook banners?

I mean there could be 2 options; Admin chosen banner option, which is the banner you see the admins pick that they made and then a option called personal banner where you can chose the banner's in the option or upload your own and see it on your own computer and no one else can see it.

We've had this come up before. The thing is, an artist creates a new banner every week for us right now, which is then shown off to thousands of visitors for seven days. Don't you think it would be a bit disrespectful towards them to swap your own in and thus never see the new banners that we put up for you every week?

We should consider having a selection of one of the previous banners published. So then you could choose your favourite. I'm honestly fine with a new banner each week, but other(s) might not like it for the own reasons. My favourite is the one Nico made that I stole for my signature.

That's not a banner, and it's not made by Nico. Kurtiss created it back in the site's early days to use for off-site advertising.

I think the weekly banner change strikes a good balance - if you don't like the banner, a week isn't too long to wait. But a week also gives each individual banner a nice bit of exposure. If you were able to choose your own banner to use permanently, you would then probably never change it again and thus never see the week's new banner. This may discourage people from continuing to make banners for us, as fewer members will even see them.

They could make banners for other people and their own which won't discourage them or they could just select a option where you can see the weekly ad, I think the select your own banner option could be a subscription option.

Eh, I see the point for not changing it, but still think choosing would be nice~

I dislike this idea. But I would love to see like two more optional themes though
As long as the banner stays the same.
