I just think it would really be a cute idea to have pony version of Madam butterfly
I guess it won't settle for everyone. I haven't started writing it but I was thinking about it

the pony version of Madam Butterfly sets in the olden days of Equestria when earth ponies,unicorns and Pegasus
were forbidden to cross marry.
Meaning that only earth ponies where allowed to marry other earth ponies,Pegasus to Pegasus and unicorns to unicorns
it set where a village of Pegasus live on high mountain in earth bound houses. A young Pegasus named butterfly falls in love with a earth pony named Cider that deliveries food to butterfly's village. The two ponies begin to meet each other in secret and fall deeply in love. They soon fall into a affair and plan to elope as butterfly gave birth to his foal. But he is force to marry another earth pony that his parents made arrangements to marry. Once Butterfly hears this news from Ciders resentful sister. Butterfly leaves her goodbyes in a note for Cider as she goes to the east to jump into a volcano. Cider tries to stop her. but it is too late as she has already done the deed. Cider is left behind to raise they're foal refusing to marry another pony as long he lived as he is now marry to volcano that his butterfly burned in


Plot: set in ponyville, where rarity and twilight are asked to be costume designer and writer for the up coming play "Madam Butterfly" They except with great phrase and soon the other girls get in on production.
Apple jack being chosen of head of the back stage hand, Rainbow dash as prop head and pinki as refresher attendant


Fluttershy leaves herself out of the play in till she is asked by rarity to model some of the kimono's she has made for the play
Rarity even styles her hair in a bun and puts make up on her face to capture all in all of madam butterfly
she realizes how wonderful she looks as madam butterfly and implores her to try out for the part

Fluttershy gives it a thought but doubts it, Rarity ensures her it will not be like when she became a model
That it will only be a few showing and it will be done with. She has all the right gifts to play the part and she should do it

Soon Fluttershy comes out to production before the cast director,director and writer to try out winning the hearts of the directors and twilight as Madam butterfly

They hit a sticky phase when it was time to find the perfect colt to play Cider and they turn down now ever stallion who showed up. When one day as rainbow dash was delivering props with Big Mac the director stop them and admitly wants big mac to audtion for the part of Cider.

So Big Mac recites a few lines and sings perfectly winning the directors over and dress rehearsal is called to fit Big mac and Flutter shy in they're elements. Both are nervous as they must do a duet together in the first dress rehearsal. Fluttershy and Big mac couldn't help admire one another in they're costumes of the ancients as they give in all courage to sing they're duet

Yes I got pretty flutter mac with this....throw some idea's my way!! also hear is the duet....just to give an idea
