:/ Wish I knew this beforehand.I think that the limit is 10 images. I'm not 100% sure though, but it's definitely somewhere around that.

Is there some sort of limit on [img] tags, or something? I just spend an hour configuring a post to create an artwork gallery, and it basically deleted 70% of my [img] tags. :/
I think its to lower the loading speed of a page.

But, you can have unlimited attachments, which you can all enter into a single post. So effectively, it's the same thing, you just need to upload the pictures from your computer instead of linking them from elsewhere online. If you use the full edit page by clicking 'Upload Files + More Reply Options' on your post, near the bottom of the box it shows how to upload attachments. Use them instead.

You can have unlimited attachments, but you have a file size limit.

You can have up to 10 off-site images embedded in a post. As was mentioned, if you want to have more than that many, you have to use the attachment system, which allows you to embed an unlimited number of images.
10 links per page, as everypony else has said.

The file size limit is 100 MB per file, and there's no cap on how many files you can upload. I really doubt that's going to be an issue for anyone uploading artwork.
