So, anyone of you into archery? I've been training since I was 8 years old (I just realized that I'm doing archery for half of my life now O.o)
I use a 30lb longbow.

EDIT: Sorry not to mention it more clearly, I'm talking about real life archery.

I find it fun, but dont get to do it much. Using a bow is cool for hunting I guess but Skyrim I get to use a bow and kill things other than deer so maybe if they had dragons irl then I would start doing more archery.
So summary: Skyrim is fun, and archery is good

I've had my own bow for two years now. I use a PSE Rally compound bow.

I have it set a 45 lb draw weight right now. But it can go up 70 lbs.

I don't get to shoot much unfortunately. I live in a big enough city I can't just go to my back yard and shoot and it's small enough that there's no Archery range unless I want to drive for an hour to get there and an hour back.

I'd like to get into it more as it has always greatly interested me. Right now I basically just shoot at balloons to try and improve my aim with a recurve bow (its only like 20lbs though :( ). After I improve some I may get a better bow.

Do you go into a club or something ? It makes it a lot more interesting :) I go to a traditional archery club, we only use wooden bows,
and focus on rapid fire archery (some of us (me included :D) are capable of firing an arrow every 1.3 second), and generally shorten ranges (we do shoot at 60 meters occasionally, but mostly, we train at about 25 - 30 meters.). And also, there are moving targets, we call them running wheels, they are tricky bastards and really hard to hit, we launch them from a ramp 1 meter above ground, and they run across 3 meters wide range where we can hit them. We are 10 meters from the target range, and the wheel is like 20 cm in diameter.

Me! I love archery!

/) Feel like sharing something more detailed ? :)

I don't get the chance often, but since I am a weakling, I never go above a 50 pound pull bow. I don't really have the most accurate groupings (Shots within an inch of each other 20 yards out), but I do decent distance, averaging 750 foot shots.

Once, I fired an arrow around 700 feet, and was within a quarter inch of hitting a clay pigeon on the ground.

Impale all the pigeons?

I'm not really interested in archery, I prefer ballistics more.

So an arrow every second? NICE! I'd need a back quiver to get anywhere close that. Of course I prefer to practice accuracy instead of speed. Plus, nocking, drawing and aiming a 45lb compound is harder to do as fast than a 20lb recurve.

I'm not a big fan of traditional wood bows. I prefer compounds, they're more modern, smaller while still delivering high draw weights, and are generally better for hunting. (Which I plan to do. Eventually.)

And moving Targets? Man I would love to have a moving target. First I need my own archery range though.

When I was younger (8 or so) I used to run around the woods making bows from sticks and using bailers twine as string and shoot trees rocks and other stuff. That about as far as I got in archery.

However with deer populations in non-rifle areas sky rocketing and shoot guns requiring to be 1000 meters from houses I guess I may take up using a crossbow.

I've done a little archery, but only started this year thanks to an archery class in school. But that was the only time I got to do because I don't own a bow yet.

I bought myself a simple recurve bow a couple years ago, and enjoy shooting at targets. I also enjoy shooting guns, it helps me release anger. (which I seem to have a lot of)
