No, I just meant Gilda and Spike paired with anypony (Rainbow/Rarity, respectively)

I don't have the name right now, but Fluttershy meets a guy who promises to take her to the gate that leads back to Equestria, they have to cross the USA in a short amount of time

"The Kindness of Strangers" I LOVE that story! Particularly because it's set in a time that predates the franchise entirely. Asaji is not a brony sent to Equestria. He's just a man who decided to help Fluttershy out when she needed help.

Well, you see this is a very back and forth topic with me. I can honestly say there are connections between the ponies and 'us' (being humans). Derpy is great and amazing and cute, clumzy everything I love. I could say I'm honestly attracted to her in a way. I wouldn't be able to completely agree with myself though. If you were to be in love/ attracted you would be with a horse in the end. A horse..•_•.. if your saying a full translation from ponyville to my door I'd say sign me up baby! I will agree with you..................... lady.....sludge.....pony :l

I can see why you would be hesitant to go "all the way" as it were. That said, nopony seems to have a problem with Liara, and the closest evolutionary ancestors to the Asari I can guesstimate would be some kind of eel or cephalopod. Really the ponies are pretty divorced from horses. Do YOU look like a chimp? Certainly there's a strong resemblance, but we are not the same thing.

So...there is hope! *inhales* Yay~

There's also the canonically lesbian Lilpip. Who resembles Twilight in many ways.

I actually did a kind of experiment on the matter.

I took a magnetized picture of myself, and held it up to as many pictures of the ponies as possible.

Nothing connected.

So, no, I am not attracted to Ponies at all. :3

For physical arousal, I cite my very first post on this or any site. In cases like Spoon's where the line is somewhat "blurred" in just the right way.

* * *

According

to Professor Masahiro Mori's "Uncanny Valley" when something is meant to look human but isn't, our brains automatically notice the things that aren't human. The same can be said of the opposite. C-3PO is funny because he is, in some ways, the most identifiable and human character even though he's visibly made of metal and circuitry. When something's clearly not human, it's human qualities stand out.

The ponie's human features, hair, eyes, smile, body language etc. are clearly apparent in contrast with their cartoon animal appearance.

When watching Mandopny's song Somepony's Waiting, the lyrics described them so well and evoked the feelings again, but this time without the trepidation. It clicked! It wasn't attraction to the ponies themselves, but what they meant in my head and heart. (Grab your INCEPTIONs it's about to Jungian up in this joint!) You see, according to Carl Jung, humans are hardwired to recognize certain things at a base level and are individual brains interpret them in different ways. (Dragons being common across mythology for instance.) The Mane 6 fit into ideal feminine archetypes. The little ones get their role models but our developed brains see past the cartoon and recognize the kind of people they represent.

Thus any "sexual attraction" boasted on the internet, I humbly submit, is typical bravado covering up a deep seated emotional stimulus. Your brain recognizing the things you REALLY want in a relationship.

As was I! I know what you mean by some of those other pieces of art that crawled from the Uncanny Valley. The first time it "happened" for me was when Youtube comments were being perverted on a Fluttershy video. I got a bit angry that they could be so slanderous, but NOT at viewing her as the subject. That's when it clicked that I saw Fluttershy in the "potential partner" mindset. Needless to say I freaked out a bit. Tell me, do you recall my theory on "the reverse uncanny valley?" I believe I posted it somewhere here.

So anyway, Pinkie is bouncing down the aisle! Nah I kid. (That's becoming a catchphrase. I've never had a catchphrase!)

Almost exactly happened to me and I can only agree with you on all posts in here I've read so far :D
I was kinda shocked too, mostly when I started dreaming about being a pony and making out with ponies.
Besides my favorite mane ponies I think that Spitfire is extremely...uhm...appealing

As do I! B) Oh and also . . .

WHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHY?! Just ONE romantic pony dream! Is that too much to ask for!?

Okay I'm good. :) Anyway, yes this a highly entertaining thread. It's a somewhat hot topic, but all in all it feels like some are "letting it out" so to speak. Out of the one's that aren't the Mane Six, I've recently discovered some affections for Octavia.

Octavia's classy, like Rarity, but she's also a bit more calm and reserved. (At least that's the common fan portrayal.) I like that! Also . . . I have a bit of a thing for brunettes. Long dark hair man! It sends me for a loop!
P.S. If you ever feel like sharing those dreams, send a PM. I find them cathartic and entertaining.

There's really a few different ways to go about it.
I'm attracted to them, sometimes a lot, sometimes depending on the image, but I really don't like R34 or clopfic stuff.
If they're cute, attractive, that's fine, but once it gets to really overt it's just not good.
I could probably get some examples.

Question:
There's this series of "sensual fics" where the reader is supposed to be interacting with one of the characters, there's a scale as to how involved it is.

Fluffy: (nothing serious, mostly cute)
Fuzzy: (a real d'aww scene for the heart)
Snuggly: (hugs, peck on the cheek, etc.)
Tender: (kisses, lying down together)
Romantic: (kisses w/ tongue, massages)
Cheeky: (moaning, overly massaging wings, hoofs, etc.)
Saucy: (very, VERY suggestive)
Whoa! (as far as describing actual sex)

There's different levels obviously, what would be the most comfortable you'd be with with your favorite(s)?

For me, Tender would really have to be the max, if that. Anything more than that seems pretty off to me, honestly.

She's married. Unavailable. It's like that thing where married women are so off the radar that they are practically invisible.

Octavia is attractive(especially her eyes  ) and her color scheme is very beautiful. Also that bow-tie is a nice accessoire :D

And most of the dreams I've written in the dream-thread ;)

PS: That burned-out angry Twilight at 0:08 is sooo incredible adorable

When it comes to fanfiction I read everything until "cheeky" when it's well written.

Definately! Just seen the royal wedding episode and I did find it extremely cute and partly romantic. Hopefully I'll dream about such a wedding tonight, it'd be awesome ^_^

Romantic is my comfortable level. Cheeky is where I draw the line if it's well written.

Well I don't really read those, but I don't particularly mean the stories, I mean what level people would be ok with in general with them, with interacting with them.
I love Octavia, Spitfire, Applejack, Twi, RD, and others. Applejack and Twi in particular I have huge love for with their personalities/appearance, but I wouldn't say I'm actually like in love with them or anything. Not like hugely romantic or anything.
That can also evoke a "forever alone".
