I was looking around at some fanfics online & found a really creepy fanfic about Cherilee. The story was well made and caught my eye. Has there been any fanfics that you have read that were creepy,sinster, etc....

If so post some of your favorite creepy Mlp fanfics!

Well the only fanfic that tormented me for a while was "Cheerilee's Garden" I think that's the one you mean :3

this one is better than cupcakes or rainbow factory, sadly it's not as well known as them.

I haven't read Cheerilee's Garden. I have to find a good audio recording of it. I really liked Rainbow Factory.

Rainbow Factory. There's not really any gore like in Cupcakes but the setting is quite sinister. It's more sad than creepy actually but there's still the creepy part. (That's probably why it's the only dark fanfic I loved).

Gorefics often fail to achieve "creepy", IMO. A lot of times they just try too hard, or focus on the graphic depiction, while entirely neglecting to establish a creepy mood.

Of the stories I've read recently, one that really stood out was Filler's eerie fable "Beyond the Wall". It's a very nice example of the trope "Humans are the Real Monsters" (or ponies, in this case).

Well as I've said in a similar topic, I don't really read many fanfics at all. The only horror fanfics I've read are Rainbow Factory and Cupcakes. I didnt think any of them were scary.

I think I have seen too many of those creepypastas & they have rubbed off on me... There are only a (very) few "gorefics" that I liked...

Creepypastas as in- Lost Silver, Slenderman, BlameTruth Project - Lavender Town Syndrome, and Ben Drowned

Those are very popular ones.

I agree with pinkie pie there is no way that I could read "gorefic" of her! Well... gorefics simply would not work with MLP! The only time I could see it working would be with the characters "mental breakdowns"... One of the mental breakdowns that would be intresting to see would be Cherilee though... 0.o after reading Cherilee's Garden that is o.o

most fanfics, regardless of their actual intent, I find creepy, due to the fact I am still rather...I donno, weirded out by a lot of the community (that and I generally dislike fanfics)

though anything with Princess Molestia makes me laugh

Slendermane is definitely the creepiest FiM fanfic I've read. You know how people say Cupcakes, and Rainbow Factory are creepy, or disturbing? Well those fictions don't even compare to Slendermane.

Like Mr. Pillow Pony from earlier, I don't read much fanfic overall, which is slightly amusing as I do enjoy writing it. But on top of my habit of not reading it much, I almost exclusively never read sad, gory, or traumatic fanfics. As a rule of thumb, I believe our world is fucked up enough as it is, thusly, I have no interest in reading even more messed up things in stories, wrongly depicting characters from a show I enjoy, or just in general putting them in overly sad situations that I don't care to read about. If I'm going to read fanfics, they're going to be cute, or funny, or romantic, or crossovers; anything but dark stuff. It's not my thing, and it never will be.

Despite this, I did 'read' Rainbow Factory at one point, though to be fair it was more skimming the bridging points and only reading the climaxes. From the limited amount I read, it was not scary at all. Not much of an opinion as I didn't go all the way through, but it is what it is. Just found myself craving the need to go write some Scootalove after, that's all. Nothing more.

I tend not to read fanfics, Because they either creep me out or just make me feel a bit violated. xD I guess i tend to stick to the pictures and the happy stories that the Mane 6 tell. I have been meaning to read the Rainbow Factory as i'm a bit obsessed with the song by Glaze, But.. *shrug*
