Hello everypony!
I'd like to share this piano medley (ponydley) I made from MLP season one's songs!
I put it on youtube with the link to the score pdf so feel free to download it! Hope you'll like it!
How many points do I receive? =)

That was awesome. You are a great piano player.

That covered like... every song of significant length in season one.

Thank you! To tell the truth I digitally recorded separate tracks for each part of the medley because I didn't have good equipment for sound recording (bad microphones, hope to get something good in the future).

Well I left out the "Evil Enchantress Song" and "Art Of The Dress", though the Flutterjazz version of the first was tempting!

EDIT: I put the link to the Mp3 file!

I'm impressed, that is a pretty nice arrangement. The only criticism I have for it is I think that, at times, the right hand is a bit too simple and gets overshadowed by the left hand. In particular, I think the opening theme could have used a few chords to really make the main melody more powerful at certain parts, and I also feel the same way about rainbow dashes portion of "At the Gala".

But like I said, other than that bit of criticism it really is a nice arrangement. My only other wish would be that it was longer.

Actually one more thing - The tempo was kept pretty similar throughout and sounds like a single melody as a result, it would have been cool if it slowed down at times to mix it up and the differences between each song were more apparent. And "Winter Wrap Up" should have been longer ^^

Hey Hollowshield, thank you for the long reply! It is higly appreciated. I enjoy constructive criticism, it's always a good thing.
You are right, the right hand part sometimes is weak (mainly in RD's portion of At the Gala) because I was worried to do something too difficult and find out that nobody would download the pdf to play it afterwards.

Well, there are a few tempo changes (from 180 to 108) but I wanted something that sounds like a single melody through the end (it's a medley after all). Do you find it boring?
About Winter Wrap Up...you're not the first one to say this (and you're absolutely right) : P

Btw did somepony catch the "Octavia solo" in the bonus track?

What kind of piano did you use for this, if I might ask? Grand, regular, keyboard, or what?

Brand not needed.

I digitally recorded a disklavier, it's an electro-mechanical piano (here's my model: http://www.chicagopi...er-DGT2A-PE.jpg), then I used VSTs on the parts I recorded and on the midi parts (I was too lazy to study all of it, meanwhile I had a concert to prepare : P)!

Awesome!!! Wonderful to see more musicians, and what's more, another pianist! :D

Would you happen to have a MIDI file of this, so I could run it through my notation programs and Synthesia?
Either so I could so my own cover of it, or so I could use the At the Gala arrangement? I've been looking all over the internet for an arrangement of At the Gala to cover, and your is by far the best. :)

(All credit to you of course ;) )

Hi Derpy Dash, I'll write you a pm!

Next thing I'm going to do something for cello and piano (I'll record me and my brother). I'll do some original music and arrangements of second season's songs. Hope to find the time for all this things : P
