OK, my idea here is based on the recent, successful thread called "5 things you love about your favorite pony".  But instead of 5 things about one character, I'm asking you to list one favorite thing about Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, and Twilight Sparkle.

Hm. Ok this could get difficult, I love all the ponies so much .

 

Fluttershy: The fact I can relate to her well. Shes shy like me but a kind heart once you get to know em .

Twilight: Her singing voice, I love Twilights singing voice its like my favorite .

Pinkie pie: Her humor, she has the most entertaining humor in the show,(in my opinion) and like my favorite type, The totally random kind its just Idk I love it .

Rainbow Dash: I really like her mane.. hehe ok I do, but I think i like her personality alot to, its entertaining. Not to mention it even has some caring in it to .

Rarity: Her dramatic way with everything, I love watching her overreact to everything as "THE WORST POSSIBLE THING" I don't know why I find it entertaining but I do.

Applejack: Shes southern, I'm southern, sorry if its biased but its the truth. .

 

Theres alot I like about each one of them, its hard for me to rate the stuff I like about each of them to be honest though. I tried my best

Applejack: Her loyalty to everypony, and she is such a cute southern filly.

 

Rainbow Dash:  I like her mane, attitude, personality, and everything about her.

 

Twilight Sparkle: Very cute singing voice and her smarts.

 

Rarity: Very gorgeous pony and her generosity towards others.

 

Fluttershy: I relate to her, when it comes to my shyness. Plus, she is adorable when she blushes.

 

Pinkie Pie: Pinkie Pie's parties are always awesome and I love how she can be silly and random at the same time.

Pinkie Pie: I love pretty much all of her songs, I think she might have my favorite singing voice out of any of them.

 

Rainbow Dash: She has the best pet ever. Admittedly that's not really about her, but still.

 

Rarity: She can be really funny when she's overdramatic

 

Twilight Sparkle: Except possibly Fluttershy, she's the one I can relate to the most, especially more recently as I've tried to become more social with people.

Twilight Sparkle: I like her sense of dedication and her earnestness.  She'll do whatever it takes to get something done, and go way out of her way to please everyone if she possibly can.

 

Rainbow Dash: Her confidence is infectious, and when she chooses to show her sensitive side, it's awfully cute.

 

Applejack: Of all the Mane 6, I think she's the most approachable and "motherly" - if I were a little kid needing someone to talk to, I'd go to her first.

 

Pinkie Pie: Her special brand of randomness is so much like mine.

 

Rarity: I think she's arguably the prettiest of the bunch.

 

Fluttershy: Whenever I'm feeling meek and small, I feel like her.  She's soft-spoken and timid, but passionate and very nice overall.

Applejack

Her attitude. She knows that anything that she will ever get in life will be earned by backbreaking work, but she not only accepts that unflinchingly but welcomes it. I'd love to have a tenth of her work ethic and responsibility.

Fluttershy

The only time we can be brave is when we are afraid. Therefore, Fluttershy is one of the gutsiest ponies in the entire show in her own way. She more than proved that in Hurricane Fluttershy, The Return of Harmony, Stare Master, etc, etc, etc.

 

Pinkie Pie

Her greatest joy is helping others be joyful. She may not be the Element of Generosity, but that's pretty freaking selfless. I also find her optimism contagious.

 

Rainbow Dash

I read a fanfic today that had a quote that summed it up pretty nicely, so I'm just going to post it . Thank you Trinary for reading my mind. I should take the tinfoil hat off more often.

 

“Like making them believe in themselves. Like making them realize that the impossible can become possible. As much as they need parents to set rules and boundaries to keep them safe, they need to see a pony that transcends all limits. I admire her creativity and her willingness to put up with everypony's antics (to be fair she causes her fair share of insanity as well )

Applejack: You mean aside from pretty much EVERYTHING? Seriously though if I had to pick just one thing about it it is her honesty, because plain and simple honesty is a building block for pretty all her other positive traits like her work ethic, her dedication to her friends and family, her strong sense of honor.

 

Twilight Sparkle: She is always ready and willing to seek knowledge and learn something new, sure she can sometimes be a bit close minded and dismiss something as "impossible" because it dosen't have an explanation like she did in Feeling Pinkie Keen but she has gotten better at this.

 

Rainbow Dash: She acts tough and is often insecure about her "rep" but deep down inside she is a big softie who is loyal to her friends and willing to lend a hoof when needed.

 

Pinkie Pie: She realizes that you shouldn't take yourself too seriously and that life is way too short to get bent out of shape over things that don't really even matter in the long run.

 

Fluttershy: She is so shy that she can sometimes literally be afraid of her own shadow but has show true bravery when the chips are down by overcoming this to do what needs to be done.

 

Rarity: She has a strong creative spark that she puts into her career as a boutique owner/dress maker.

Rainbow Dash- Her competitiveness is great, but then its softened by a soft side.

Fluttershy- The shyness is just adorable, but then she has her aggressive side as well.

Twilight- At first she seemed like the perfect pony, but then you realize her personality faults.

Her personality and honesty, she's really someone you can trust and rely on, she's also very strong after years of apple-bucking so she's not your stereotypical helpless, weak girl.

Fluttershy

She's extremely adorable and cute, her kindness makes her even cuter. After watching Keep Calm and Flutter On I realized she's actually really smarter than I thought. She's someone you really don't want to piss off, especially when she's the kindest pony you'll ever meet

Pinkie Pie

She's super friendly to everyone even if she just met them, she puts so much effort to see all of her friends smile, her humor is just hilarious and she just loves to party! 

Rainbow Dash

I absolutely love her perseverance  athletic skills, confidence and especially her loyalty to her friends. She's beautifully colorful, and she's not the kind of person you want to bully and make fun of x) I guess you can say she's the 'cool' one in the Mane 6. 

Rarity

Her taste in fashion is good, she's really talented with sewing and making different types of fashionable clothes and I also like how she always does stuff for her family (mostly Sweetie Belle) even if it's not her favorite activity to do, she's there for her.

Twilight Sparkle
The smart one of the group, definitely deserves to become a Princess/Alicorn after all the stuff she's been through and finding the answer to almost everything. Princess Celestia made an excellent decision making Twilight her faithful student.

She's an awesome unicorn. I love her voice, personality, and how great of a leader she is to the mane six. Her magical abilities also impress me! Plus, she loves reading books, and cares for his friends and knows how to bring friendship between them all. 

 

Rarity 

 

Also she made seem like a snobby prick at first, once you get to know her, she's really fun and caring. She also has great episodes, and I love seeing them. It's fun seeing her reactions to bad fashions on the show! Plus, she's just so lovable. :3

 

Pinkie Pie 

 

Right from the beginning, Pinkie was just funny, random, and hilarious. She also sings the most epic songs, and she adds humor to the show! She also cares a lot for her friends, and will try her best to make them all happy! She brings laughter to the mane six!

 

Applejack   

She's the one who's always understanding of the other ponies. She's very sweet, and can be pretty boss too! Her bucking skills are always useful in fights, and Sweet Apple Acres is fun to see in the show. You couldn't ask for a more better/honest pony!

 

Rainbow Dash 

She's an awesome pony, and although she acts arrogant sometimes, she's very loyal and caring to her friends. Her mane is just plain awesome, and  she also has great flying skills. She can be understanding when she needs to, but doesn't like to show it.

 

Fluttershy   

Two words describe this shy-yet-sweet pony: Freaking adorable. She's shy, but loves her friends, and is always kind no matter what. She would never do anything to harm others, and she is very accepting of others, no matter who they are. I love her episodes, too!

 

So yeah, each of the mane six are very special in their own ways. I have some best ponies, but honestly, I love them all. :3

Twilight: First no friends when she arrived to Ponyville & she learned the power of friendship that no book can tell.

Real brainiac with guts & determination.

 

Applejack: She tells it like it is. She stubborn at times but will lend a hoof if anypony gets in trouble.

 

Pinike Pie: What can i say about the #1 party pony? (Hehehe) She chipper & outrageous at times. She has spunk & likes to make ponies happy with her parties & songs.

 

Rarity: At first i thought she was a premadonna but later on she has the honesty to make things right in her own way.

Can outrangoulsy funny at times but her heart is in the right place

 

Fluttershy: Adorable & sweet.The scenes where she cries or runs away makes ya wanna blubber too. Caring fer her animal friends, if theres any danger she'll stand up & defend her friends.

 

Rainbow Dash: The tompony of the mane six has guts & glory to make it up to the stratosphere.

With her dynamic flying abilities she can achieve her goals. At times she can be arrogant but shes a true blue friend to the rest of the mane 6.

Some of you may be groaning, “Oh, here's Wingnut again. Incoming wall of text! TL;DR! Duck and cover!” I wish I could promise this will be shorter than “Five reasons I love Fluttershy”. But it's actually a little longer.

 

Applejack is more self-giving than any pony I know. Applebuck Season showed how hard she drives herself when her family is counting on her. When she failed to win a first place ribbon in The Last Round Up, she thought she brought so much shame on her family and Ponyville that she decided to exile herself. And there are numerous more subtle examples of how she puts others' happiness and well being ahead of her own. This grew out of the loss of her parents at a young age.

 

In Apple Family Reunion, Applejack verbally worried that some of her relatives may be too busy to attend the next family reunion but her body language tells a different tale. She was thinking of the other meaning of “not making it”. I thought the animation here was nicely done. Applejack's face saddened as she took a moment to reflect on her deceased parents.  In my opinion, this is the most poignant scene in the entire series. Her brief expression of sorrow promptly gave way to one of resolve. Applejack knows that each day is a gift and tomorrow is promised to no one. This is the real reason she was so determined to make this the most memorable reunion ever. And it is also why she is a workaholic who routinely denies herself for the sake of others.

 

Kindness is Fluttershy's wonderful long-term response to being brutally teased as a filly. Anybody who took the time to read “Five Reasons I Love Fluttershy” already knew I would say this about her.  It was true then, and it is true now. If anypony had a reason to hate the world, it's Fluttershy. She could've easily grown up to be a full-time Flutterbitch. But thankfully, she had the support of her one true friend Rainbow Dash and a chance to escape the torment of her fellow students. These enabled Fluttershy to choose kindness over resentment and friendship over fear.

 

Pinkie Pie's greatest gift is her ability to bring out the best in others. Pinkie first demonstrates this in the series opener. On their first ever mission together, fear fell upon her new friends as they wandered into the Everfree Forest. It was her laughter that raised their spirits and gave them the confidence to push on. In A Friend In Deed, Pinkie met a seriously depressed newcomer. He was living in the past and had lost the spark and the joy that makes life worth living. In her quest to see that nobody goes unhappy, Pinkie did the one thing that could remedy his problem by reuniting him with his long lost girlfriend.

I can even cite two examples of Pinkie Pie physically bringing out the best in others. The first was in Baby Cakes. Pound and Pumpkin weren't just exhibiting mild outbursts of unicorn and pegasus power, they were tearing it up! My personal belief is that it was their proximity to Pinkie which caused them to be so much stronger than older kids like Sweetie Belle. The other instance is in A Canterlot Wedding. By herself, Twilight Sparkle can only fire magic bolts one at a time like a semi-automatic. But with one touch of her tail, Pinkie Pie turned her into a Changeling mowing Gatling gun!

 

There is one thing that Rainbow Dash cherishes more than the thrill of victory. And that is the rewarding feeling that only comes from helping others. This is the one constant throughout Rainbow Dash's life. In Cloudsdale as a filly, she defended Fluttershy from the bullies who were teasing her. It is her motivation in The Mysterious Mare Do Well. At least until she became addicted to the adulation of her fellow citizens anyway. A desire to help her friends as well as Equestria is her impetus in each of the series two-parters. And she even wanted to help a small pony avoid the disappointment of losing the Equestria Games in Games Ponies Play.

 

Although Rarity is sometimes self-centered and unaware of the problems of others, her soul is that of a giver, not a taker. Episodes like Suited for Success, Sisterhooves Social, and Secret of My Excess show this the most. Unfortunately, Rarity's reputation as a drama queen sometimes obscures her Element of Generosity. Although Rarity's character isn't as mistreated as Pinkie Pie's, Fluttershy's, or Spike's for comic relief, I do wish they showed her generosity a little more often.

 

Twilight Sparkle's realization that the power of friendship is stronger than any magic spell. I know this looks very cliché and it plays right into MLP:FiM's underlying theme. But it still rings true. Lessons about friendship were the only thing Princess Celestia couldn't teach Twilight in a Canterlot classroom. In order to wield the Elements of Harmony, it was necessary for her to form the bonds of friendship with five other ponies. But there's more. In order to promote Twilight to the position of power Celestia had planned for her in the future, she would have to learn everything about the true power of friendship first. And Celestia knew Ponyville was the perfect environment for her to undergo those studies!

Hmm, curiously only my thoughts on the two earth ponies turned into two paragraphs. Thank you to everybody who took the time to completely read my 5,000 character post!

Just what the title says. List one or more qualities from each of the Mane Six you admire most and why. Here's my list(or list of paragraphs):

 

Twilight Sparkle: I always admired her faithfulness in her studies and her aspiration to shoot for the stars, but her organization skills always came out as the most admirable in my eyes. I always wanted to be organized and I am struggling to get there. For one, I share her love of checklists, so I am getting there slowly, steadily, but surely.

 

Applejack: Her honesty and ability to work hard in everything were always the qualities I liked most. I tend to be lazy sometimes, especially in afternoons and evenings, since I am a morning person, but I would love to work as hard as she does. As for honesty, I don't struggle with that as much as I used to, but I still need to work on it.

 

Rainbow Dash: Her loyalty and athletic skill. I am loyal enough to my friends to be able to say so without a doubt, but needless to say, I am not athletic, and Rainbow Dash's skill will always be something I admire.

 

Pinkie Pie: Her cooking skill! Although I also greatly admire Pinkie's endless good attitude, I have taken a slight interest in culinary arts recently, and I can look at Pinkie Pie's skill in this area with admiration and a little envy.

 

Fluttershy: Her kindness and housekeeping ability. I believe that Fluttershy would make an excellent mother and would be amazing at housekeeping. She sure knows how to do discipline and is very kind.

 

Rarity: Almost everything about Rarity is something I admire. I love her creativity, generosity, beauty, and singing voice. She would most likely keep a steady schedule, is a great performer, and must have amazing tips and techniques for beauty.

Rarity - I love her ability to stay organized and well kept. The way she can always be beautiful no matter the time is amazing to me. I also love how creative she can be at different times.

 

Twilight Sparkle - I love how organized and into her studies she seems to be. The fact that she still loves reading no matter what, is respectable to me. 

 

Rainbow Dash - Her ability to never give up is something I always admired. Her bravery is also something I admire.

 

Applejack - The way she's always loving of her friends and family is respectable to me. 

 

Pinkie Pie - How she can always smile even in the worst of situations is a nice ability to have.

 

Fluttershy - The way she can overcome her fears from time to time is admirable.

TS: Her diligence in studying and reading. I just cannot sit down and read, or sit down and analyze, for extended periods of time, or often. This is particularly stupid of me because I both contain the comprehension needed for the analysis (so I'm just wasting my abilities basically) and I also have things I need to do that I procrastinate on for no reason, so I really dig this attribute of hers.

 

AJ: Her dedication to her family, and her accompanying honor.

 

Rarity: Her Element basically sums it up. If I had to say something else with that, probably her aesthetic judgment, since that is something I too share in.

 

Fluttershy: Her compassion and love for all things. Bitterness gets the best of us all, except for Fluttershy.

 

Pinkie Pie: Her endless enthusiasm.

 

Rainbow Dash: eh... I guess her compromising nature, at least when it comes to Tank. Not much else, since she's my least favorite.

Rarity: She's so fabulous. I love the way she talks, and how she really seems to care for her friends.

I absolutely love Twilight! Everything about her is so great. She's a cute kind of nerdy, always determined and really organized, always willing to help out her friends, and is a really powerful unicorn!

 

Rarity has always had such a beautiful and talented voice, I love hearing her sing (almost as much as Twilight!), she has a really neat style of mane. The "Cutie Pox" episode had a part where Applebloom's loopty hoop flew over to Twilight and changed her mane to look like Rarity's. Very cute! 

 

Applejack has an awesome name, I've said it before, so simple. But I think it just really suits her, she's a hard worker and has a cute accent!

 

Pinkie Pie is always so fun and making me laugh! I feel like I'm kind of like her because I'm always making people laugh in real life. The random things she does are just so adorable, her cupcakes song is pretty great, too!

 

Fluttershy is super sweet! I loved in EG when she was telling Twilight her name, and she whispered-yelled "It's Fluttershy!" 

 

Rainbow Dash is pretty cool, 20% cooler to be exact! Always determined to be the best of the best, and sometimes can over do it, but it's okay. The "So awesome!" face is cute, haha.

Fluttershy: Everything! Absolutely everything! I can relate to her very well, her voice is so soft and cute, I love her beautiful mane, and she's just so freakin' adorable!

 

Applejack: I love her accent, and her mane looks real nice (especially with her hat!). Not to mention she's honest and hardworking, the latter of which I wish I could be. 

 

Rarity: Her voice is simply marvelous, and her mane is quite dazzling as well! I also love her personality, and how she acts/reacts towards certain things.

 

Pinkie Pie: Like myself, Pinkie is always so cheerful and random! Her voice is pretty cute too. Oh, and I love how she breaks the fourth wall sometimes. 

 

Twilight Sparkle: She's nerdy, I like her voice, and I love how determined she is, not to mention she likes to keep things organised, kind of like myself. 

 

Rainbow Dash: I like her mane, I think it looks cool!
