Phobias?

So after realizing I'm scared of really awkward things, I decided to make this thread since I didn't see any like this one before

For some reason I'm scared of various plants, I'm scared of fruit that grows in trees, but what scares me the most is sunflowers, I'm not sure why, sunflowers just scare me, I don't like them, they grow like a foot tall and then that black thing on the middle, they just freak me out, I also hate whip scorpions which I highly doubt I'll see again, and stingrays, gawd I hate those, they creep me out, I also doubt I'll see one, yet I'm scared of them XD

So you can say any phobias you got,

I'm also scared of the G3.5 MLP ponies they were so creepy

Moths!

I'm actually scared of bugs in general. However, moths are the worst for me. Their fuzzy (bugs should not be fuzzy!), and they spazz all over the place. So like during the warmer months when the porch light is on and I have to enter the house, I have to deal with them. They spazz so much that they hit me and it really bothers me... to the point that I will start shivering.

Definitely a phobia, by definition, I would say!

I'm pretty sure there was a thread for what we're afraid of, but I guess this could be different.

One of my biggest fears is swarms of very small things especially bugs, and fear of the unexpected. I've been victim to a very cruel prank which left me terrified of any sort of surprise, so I've turned paranoid and now I can't stand the fact of something that comes without warning or else I turn into a little bitch.

Sunflowers frighten me aswell, Pink.

Dying flowers have frightened me since I was little; I had always felt like they were looking at me (yeah I was a screwed up kid.)

I have a small fear of the dark, but nothing incapacitating.

Static

Wasps/bees

Generally anything that goes bump in the night

Anypony have Anatidaephobia?

Other than that, no phobias.

Arachnophobia - The fear of spiders and arachnids. I've had this phobia since I was a little kid, I always was and am afraid of spiders, even though I know they are afraid of me more than I'm of them. I will never lose it.

Entomophobia - the fear of insects and arthropods. Like my Arachnophobia, I had it since childhood. I just can't stand those little worms. And I will never lose it too. http://mlpforums.com/public/style_emoticons/default/dry.png

Acrophobia - the fear of extreme heights. As all phobias, this one comes from my childhood days.

And last... but definitely not least... social phobia - basically the fear of social interaction...

Hmmmm thats a good question. I really don't think about these things. However I can say what my sister is afraid of, she is mostly scared of any kind of bug and always asks me to kill them. I tell her that it has a right to life as much as we do. Does she listen? Nope not at all shes still screaming lol. So what I do is get a paper towel, pick up the bug and take it out side.

Another thing my sister is afraid of is that she dosn't like going on boats. I really don't know why or could figure it out but I think shes scared of the boat sinking or somthing.

I hate spiders.. They are just so freaky.. When I see one, I freak out and

scream. If the spider is actually MOVING, I drop everything and run. I won't

even come back to kill it. I just leave.

Once, there was this Wolf Spider (big ass spider) that was in my room, under my clothes on my floor.

I jumped away, and I was cornered. I was scared out of my mind. Luckily, it didn't run after me.

Instead, it ran behind my bed. It was about midnight, and I needed to go to sleep.

Scared, I quickly went under my blankets and fell asleep after like an hour of being scared.

I never seen it since.

Acrophobia. I was jumping off my dresser when I was 4 and broke my leg. I was really stupid around that age. Ever since then, I just can't look at hights higher than 6 feet, especially jump off of them.

And here I was thinking I didn't have a major phobia, thanks a lot. I'm not super scared of spiders anymore, but I still don't like them.

I'm afraid of Sharp object... I can barely hold a knife! I will only occasionally use safety pins and I HATE getting injections...

Also, both Spiders and Bugs I fear, simply because I learned WAY too much in school really early and found out about the all the nasty things about such creatures...

I'm also afraid of brightly colored frogs (not the green ones, they're cute), toads, touching plants when in a forest (Some are harmful), and heights (Well, standing on something really unstable at a height)... Oh, and loud noises (fireworks, balloons, any sort of loud bang...)

For some reason, despite the fact that MOST SNAKES ARE DANGEROUS IN AUSTRALIA where I live, I'm not afraid of them... It's really weird... Especially with the list above being mostly because they can be harmful... So, yeah, this is the weird part of me!

It's not really a phobia but I don't like being water where it's too deep for me to touch the bottom at all... I also don't like the idea of being in water where I can't see the bottom and there possibly being large fish swimming around in there... I will still swim in water where I can't see the bottom, but the idea that there could be big fish around my feet scares me.

I'm not scared of bugs in general (when I was a kid a friend and I used to turn over rocks to watch or pick up the millipedes and pillbugs underneath, and I used to rescue worms from puddles when it rained) but I can't stand maggots, ticks or leeches. I'm not scared of bees/wasps but I am scared of getting stung by them.

Cynophobia- Fear of dogs. Their jumpy nature just scares the heck out of me. To make it worse, their loud barking just makes me jump.

Not all dogs are jumpy! My Golden Retriever was extremely calm (actually she helped some kids get over their fear of dogs somewhat.) Edited by Neko-Chan

If no ones been in a place for a period of time, I'll have an internal fear that I'll find a terrifying rotting corpse there, and thus not go there until someone else has -_-

It's the kind of thing that one would think is completely ridiculous, but when your feeling it at that moment, your truly scared.

Really??

They're like my favorite bugs! I always try to catch them in my hands during summer. Only the small ones though, I prefer to leave the bigger ones alone! ^^

Anyway, I guess I kinda have arachnophobia. I don't really have a problem with small spiders like the ones that are found where I live. But when I went to Nicaragua a few years ago, I had my share of large spiders, and I can't say that I was too found of them. One in particular was about as big as my head with its legs spread out. That wasn't too nice...

I also have claustrophobia. I really really really really dislike being in a small enclosed space where I am not able to move freely. When we were younger, my friends and I often played in cardboard boxes. Someone would go in the box and someone else would sit on it to make sure that the person inside wasn't able to get out and we'd try to stay in the box for the longest time. I usually started panicking after only 10-20 seconds of being in the box.

I also have a fear of heights to some extant, but it only applies when I know that I could fall and severely hurt myself with one mistep. I don't feel afraid of heights when say I'm looking through the window of a tall building or through the window of a plane.

Phobias? Well, I don't really have any phobias, although I have social anxiety. Basically, what it means is that during some social situations, I'll get feelings of intense fear and worry about said situation. For instance, sometimes when shopping, I tend to feel like I'm being silently judged by people. Perhaps that attributes to my shyness and awkwardness...

Fear of social interaction is essentially what I'm saying. It's not exactly a phobia, but nonetheless, that's my story.

I would never be able to wash my hands enough... D:

Actually just having one flying around in my hands would probably scar me for life. I just can't stand the feeling or thought of that...

Anyway, I am scared of bugs. Any sort of thing that crawls.
