Has Your Favorite Pony Ever Done Anything You Wanted To Slap Them For?

So we all have our favorite pony/ponies and though we may love them there might be a time or two where we go "what the hell do you think you are doing?" Don't get me wrong without some character flaws they would all be Mare E Sue's but at the same time sometimes you just want to slap a filly. Since my favorite pony is a three way tie here they all are.

 

Luna: So far nothing she has done has made me want to slap her, sure she was Nightmare Moon and all but I find her redemption story to be very touching and relatable though I think much of the reason why I have trouble finding something is because as a secondary character she hasn't had as much time on screen to do stupid things.

 

Applejack: The only thing that made me want to slap her was how she treated Zecora in Bridle Gossip, sure all the other ponies except for Twilight at least at first and Applebloom did treat Zecora pretty badly but with the exception of Pinkie Pie Applejack was the harshest. Yes she did take the side of the Appleloosans without even bothering to listen to the buffalo but much of that was due to her concern for her counsin Braeburn so though it is not entirely excusable is a bit more understandable.

 

Twilight Sparkle: The one thing that stands out more than anything else is her calling Gilda a "false friend" at the end of Griffon the Brush Off even though she didn't even know her. Like I have said before, Gilda may have acted like a jerk but with how Pinkie Pie acted like a crazy stalker in most of the episode Gilda had every right to angry at her even if she didn't handle things as well as she could have. The only ponies I wanted to slap more in that episode were Pinkie Pie for the crazy stalker behavior and Rainbow Dash for basically abandoning Gilda even though Pinkie Pie was just as guilty as she was.

Rarity basically using Spike all throughout the first season. That's really the only thing I hated about her. Luckily, season 2 gave her some character development.

I wanted to slap Applejack for making Twilight cry in Winter Wrap Up + her actions toward Zecora in Bridle Gossip

I wanted to slap Rainbow Dash for the joust in the Crystal Empire

I wanted to slap Rarity for making Sweetie Belle do all of her manual labor in Sleepless in Ponyville(despite how funny they were)

I wanted to slap Pinkie Pie for most of Luna Eclipsed

I wanted to slap Fluttershy for making Pinkie Pie and Rarity cry in Putting Your Hoof Down(I don't care if she apologized, she still deserves it)

I wanted to slap Spike for most of Winter Wrap Up

I wanted to slap the rest of the mane 6+Spike, Celestia, and Shining Armor for Canterlot Wedding Part 1

AppleJack in Bridle Gossip. She was acting out of character, especially for a character that likes to help others. She's afraid of a zebra, but has no problem with a dragon, mules, gryphons, sheep, cattle, donkeys, etc.

 

Also, I was annoyed when she didn't negotiate with the FlimFlam bros to buy their equipment, rent it, or work out some sort of cider deal.

I didn't like how Rarity acted in Sonic Rainboom at all, but she did learn her lesson in a big way so all is forgiven. How she treated Sweetie Belle in Sleepless in Ponyville was unforgivable though, but then again I try to forget most things in that episode that happened.

I don't think that Pinkie Pie really did anything wrong in "Griffon the Brush Off."  She tried to be nice to Gilda, even though Gilda was being a jerk.  And even if Gilda had a right to be annoyed with Pinkie, Gilda was a shoplifter and she bullied Fluttershy.  So I do not feel bad that she lost Rainbow Dash's friendship. 

 

In "Luna Eclipsed," Pinkie did hurt Luna's feelings.  But I do not think that it was intentional.  I think that she was just having fun and did not realize how she was making Luna feel.  I think that if she knew, she would have apologized and stopped that behavior.

 

I don't really have any defense for how Pinkie Pie treated Zecora.  However, I would never want to slap her.

When angel was mean to Fluttershy in the episode "putting your hoof down".

 

That made me so mad the first time I watched it, especially after he was so ungrateful at the beginning after she had effectively made min the most amazing rabbit meal ever (bar the cherry).

Rarity (though she isn't my favorite) every time I see her but her worst offences are in Sonic Rainboom, The way she treated Sweetie in Sisterhooves Social and Sleepless in Ponyville (that's not how a older sibling should act).

 

Twilight for calling Gilda a false friend, she barely knows her.

 

AJ and Pinkie  for the way they acted to Zecora.

This. For Dash it's more of a "Pull your head out of your... and help people" slap, for everyone else it's more of a "Your plan to teach your friend humility (that involved you bragging about your own humility), resulted in your friend ending up miserable and all alone on a cloud, while you soaked up the attention at a parade dedicated to you. See anything wrong with that?" kind of slap.

 

Also a bit of Pinkie in A Friend in Deed. I love how kind and welcoming she is, and how determined to befriend everyone she is, but the guy just wanted to be left alone. She came through in the end, but I could sympathize with Cranky entirely.

I agree.  I am strongly against these sorts of stereotypes, especially based on gender.  The fact that it looked like the sentimental moment was causing Spike to literally vomit was quite funny.  But I think that Applejack should have made a comment about Spike's personal character, rather than making it about "typical" boy behavior.

My favorite ponies not that I can think of...unless its Big Mac for not having more screen time but that's not really his fault. But quite often I want to slap Rarity A) for using Spike and because she often doesn't seem generous even though that is her trait.

Pinkie on multiple occasions she really needs to learn self control. Rainbow Dash too because her ego is out of control and is a major turn off.

Fluttershy: for taking her anger out on the ponies who care about her, Rarity and Pinkie Pie. I guess some of us should've seen this coming though. Fluttershy bottles up anger far too often. People/ponies who do that tend to explode, and the explosion of emotions can be targeted towards anybody, even loved ones. 

 

Rainbow Dash: For the way she acted towards the CMC in Ponyville Confidential.

 

Pinkie Pie: For the times she's gone overboard, such as in MMMystery On The Friendship Express.

I actually really liked that episode, up until the ending. Song was fantastic. Applebloom was adorable. Dash and Pinkie were hilarious. But Applejack had to hold the Idiot Ball the whole time, and then act like a total dick. YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE THE HUMBLE DOWN-TO-EARTH ONE DAMMIT!!!

Pinkie Pie might be insensitive sometimes, but it is almost never malicious.  Rainbow Dash could have teamed up with Pinkie to get cider together, rather than making it a competition.
