Usually I don't share other people's artwork, but this was just too cool to pass up.

Apparently in the MLP comics, Nightmare Rarity is actually a character. (Perhaps that's old news to some of you, but I've never seen the comics before.) Someone over on Deviantart decided she needed a proper vector:

Isn't she cool though!?! Diamonds everywhere, and if you look reeeaaaaally closely, there are small diamond stars in her mane/tail.

I'm looking forward to seeing if the rest of the Mane Six get a Nightmare version. (Luna's not the only one anymore!) Do you guys think this is just a one time deal, or will the rest of the Mane Six get an alter-ego as well?

Like I said before, it's not my artwork, but the concept was interesting enough to warrant this post. smile.png

She's also a plot point I had hoped would come up in the show.  Only it was Trixie that I wanted to go Nightmare.   Spoiler for image dump because someone had the video flagged.

While I do not think that we will see or even should see NightMane 6 (it would take away the originality and special place NMR holds), I do admit I have seen concept work of them and it is pretty cool

In the most recent issue, Rarity is abducted and brought to the moon while the other mane 6 and Luna go after her. She is turned into Nightmare Rarity. This is awesome looking.

I have to say, I really like the idea of Nightmare Rarity. It's just so awesome and jealousy is something of a negative flaw for Rarity so it would fit her the most out of the mane 6.

I highly doubt that any of the other characters will have alter-egos unless it's relevant to the comic book's plot.  However, concerning Nightmare Rarity herself, I will say that she is both one of the best and original ideas (if not THE best idea) added by the comic's writers to the canon thus far.  Love the conception, love the design, and absolutely cannot wait to see where they go with this character!!!  Bucking awesome, I tell ya, bucking awesome!!! img-1379355-5-xtWXQl1.png

All of them would be epic in nightmare mode, but ive Never seen the comics. This Will be epic though, I like the rest to get theirs.

I'm always falling behind the times with the latest meme.I was just getting into Rarity vs Giant Crabs when it was over. Well, not this time! I'm on record here as stepping up to a new meme:

Nightmare Rarity. Now if only I can get a piece with Nightmare fighting a Giant Crab...

 

anyhow, if you got em post em here. But don't let me know if I'm too late for this one, or I will be tormented by knowing I'm 20% less cool.

But...Nightmare Rarity is from the comics, she's not a random meme like the crab thing.

seriously though, why the hell do i develop crushes on the insane evil things, i dont like rarity all that much but i LOVE nightmare rarity....is there something wrong with me?

This is a really cool art and idea, are their new comics of this still being made? Nightmaremoon plus Rarity equals Nightmarity!

I do believe they are coming out with a couple more issues to finish up this arc,but I'm not entirely sure afterwards.

 

At any rate,the vector looks amazing.I hope the show can acknowledge the comics just for stuff like this.

Wow, that looks really cool. I'll have to go and check out the Mlp comics and see what they're all about. Would definately be cool if the other ponies got nightmare versions, but I would see them having a hard time with some of the color schemes of the characters I.e. Fluttershy and possibly Applejack.
