I've seen a few threads where ponies are asking about other nearby ponies so they can meet up. That got me thinking, why not just have a map where we can see where everypony lives? I think it would make it much easier to organize meetups.
How it works:
- Make sure you're signed into Google. (You have to have a Google account to edit the map.)
- Go here.
- Click the big red "Edit" button.
- Click the blue "Add a placemark" button in the top left corner of the map.
- Place the marker over your approximate location.
- Put your user name for the title.
- ???
- Profit!

FAQ
Q: Do I need an account for this?
A: Yes, you must have a Google account to edit the map.
Q: But won't people know where I live?
A: Don't place the marker over your exact location, (that is, unless you want to, of course) just in the general area.
Q: What if I accidentally delete / move a placemark?
A: I make regular backups of the map, so if you accidentally delete or move someone's placemark, let me know and I'll fix it.
Q: What if I accidentally on purpose the entire map?
A: Dont.
Q: Can I add temporary placemarks? (such as a meetup location)
A: Sure! Just make sure to delete it when you're done.
Q: What if I have more than one home? (like if you're in the military, have a vacation home, etc.)
A: You can add more than one placemark, just be sure to label them appropriately.
Q: I just made a placemark, but it disappeared. What happened?
A: When you make a placemark, it is added to the last page of the list on the left side. The map only shows one page of placemarks at a time, so to find yours, you will have to navigate to the page it is located on.
