Do you drink?

I think you're talking about alcohol, in that case I do not drink alcohol. Drinking is not good for your liver and it wouldn't do any good for me either. Besides, I'm not the type of guy that runs around drunk, I'm the type of guy that drives and watches others make a fool out of themselfs. It's much more fun that way, have seen a lot of weird stuff happen.. I have no interest in being around drunken people, have been around people like that. They are ok, it's just that they seem to be unpredictable in that state.

I have just never been interested in drinking, I'd rather drive around others that are and examine them.

Besides, how can I drive my imaginary BMW M6 2006 if I'm drunk? lol I will own that car in the future though, it's one of my dream cars.

Nope, I choose not to drink at all. If I choose to avoid drinking alcohol and remain unaware of what it's like, I am not missing out on anything from my perspective. All I know is that it's expensive and it isn't exactly the healthiest thing in the world to be consuming.

Well I myself am only 16, so I can't drink. However I'm not really interested to either, even of I do drink it'll probaly be only on ocasions like weddings, I won't be going to bars and getting drunk or stuff.

And actually alcohol can be benificial in some ways, I've heard doctors recommend it for certainly things(I forget the exact benifits).

However having to much does the exact opposite and is detrimental.

So if you drink occasionally according to researchers it's actually not bad, now getting drunk all the time and drinking to much is bad for you, and heck if you get drunk enough you can knock yourself out or die.

So basically if you don't drink overly much it's not going to really hurt you. Apparently it's actually benificial.

Regardless I don't think I'll be much of a drinker even when I can.

But yeah drink responsibly :P (yay for cliche lines :D)

Of course drinking isn't good for you health wise but come on everyone can have a drink.Plus nowadays a drink helps you health wise but not binging.Plus it is a great way to improve you're social life.

(Edit-My word,it damages my liver bla bla bla.See I live in this generation,I'm 15 a I can tell you lot to stop worrying and let loose and if you're one of the people who makes fun of people when they're drunk remember they are having more fun than you)

on my 21st birthday party in a little more than 5 years, I won't be guzzling down beer.

You say that now...

Yeah, I drink quite a lot but only when I can afford it. I know drinking isn't good for you but it's the most effective way for me to relax and chill out. I mostly drink ale and occasionally rum.

drinking alcohol has some benefits in moderation, I drink in moderation, the FDA has recommendations on how much one should consume daily (at most), anything more than what they recommend is unhealthy, getting drunk on a regular basis is particularily unhealthy

Being serious though I don't enjoy alcohol much. Just not my thing. Been to a drinking party and felt a little embarrassed to be around people sticking their head in the cat house and some just falling asleep. This is fun? I guess for them but it just seems kind of foolish to me. I'm pretty good with charisma I don't really need booze to open up and socialize. To each his own I guess.

I hate alcohol, i really do.

Mainly because of all the personal problems i've had to deal with within my life, but also because i am smart enough to stay away from that crap.

I do, indeed. Up until fairly recently, I used to get drunk pretty regularly in a sad attempt dull my misery, with my poisons of choice being straight vodka and whiskey. I even took it with me to college in a flask that one of my sisters got me as a gag gift for Christmas one year...yeah, shit got bad.

Strangely, ever since I got into FiM a few months back, I haven't felt the need to drink away the sorrow. For the most part, the sorrow has been conspicuously absent ever since I accepted ponies into my life, and I haven't bought any hard liquor in months. Good for my health, good for my wallet...damn, I love ponies. img-1606338-1-biggrin.png

That's not to say I've given up drinking completely, though. I'll still get smashed at a good party, but I don't go to parties all that often. Otherwise, I just limit myself to a solitary beer after work to take the edge off. Moderation...it's so good to be back.

I'm not sure I appreciate the implication there, sir, despite what alcohol-related horrors you may have witnessed in life. I consider myself to be modestly smart, but even the smartest person will misstep at some point or another. Not to mention there are a ton of people vastly more intelligent than myself in the world who have taken to the bottle, and even more blithering morons who've never touched the stuff in their lives.

It has little to do with being smart, but rather whom you're willing to hurt.

The only time I drink is during special occasions such as family reunions. Honestly I just don't understand the bloody appeal to people drinking. All the drinks I've had tasted god awful, even the fancy 'delicious' ones which cost $10+

Sure, there's some health benefits through drinking wine but if I'm going to drink something that tastes absolutely disgusting then I may as well drink CoD Liver Oil. I'm not even sure if that fish oil helped me back in the day, it's a mystery!

Cousin forced me to drink beer once, never could drink any booze after that. Although non alcoholic mead is still a good drink if you're thirsty.

I don't like drinking. Tried it last month and I didn't see what the appeal was. I had one bottle and after that I stopped. Didn't want to continue. I guess it isn't my thing, but I'm not worried because I'm not missing anything. I mostly just stick to water, milk, orange juice, etc.

I'm 15, and yes, I have had a drink before. Only once, I've had one or two ounces of beer to see what it was like, but nothing else.

It's not as bad as tobacco in my opinion, but Alcohol is still unhealthy. Regardless, people still enjoy drinking Alcohol. If you don't drink excessive amounts all the time, and you're not an Alcoholic, I seriously don't believe Alcohol is all that bad for you. But I do understand its effects on the brain and liver.

I didn't start drinking until I was 28

if i'm being completely honest, it wasn't really for great reasons.

if I'm putting a bit of a positive spin on it, I wanted to try something new that (for the most part) is harmless.

getting drunk to the point of being sick is not fun. been there a few times, it sucks.

getting buzzed is pretty fun tho. however, everything in moderation.

you can drink without getting messed up all the time. Plenty of days I'll drink 2 or 3 after work while playing video games or watching netflix.

in social situations, it can take some of your anxiety away. so, that to me is a benefit to some degree.

however, if you're looking for anything resembling a meaningful interaction or the building blocks of a friendship/relationship with someone with alcohol as a primary ingredient, don't set your hopes too high.

This is the second time you've brohoof whored.  I'm pretty sure that's against the rules, and I will have no shame in reporting you if it is.  It's extremely annoying to see this as well.  So please stop.  This isn't youtube.

Back to topic, I do drink quite a bit, simply social.  I have a few beers every week.  You meet a lot of people at bars and pubs.  Besides, the occasional beer is really good for you.  It's the excessive binge consumption of alcohol that's not.

I'll get drunk maybe 2x a month, depends on what's going on.  It does feel really awful the next day though, and sometimes that's not worth it.  But there's nothing wrong with having some drinks with friends.  I think that people associate the term "drinking" with "Binge drinking".  I want to clear this up.

There is nothing wrong with going on a date, and having a drink.  Having a drink after work to loosen up.  Or even just having a cold beer on a hot day.  Alcohol can be good for you in moderation.  At least I'd like to think so.  I know that beer is.  Not sure about hard alcohol.

When I was in my teens, I used to think that beer was gross.  In actuality, all the beers I tried WERE gross.  I still don't drink them.

But there are a lot of good beers out there, and when I had one, I learned that beer really isn't that bad.

Like coffee, it took me awhile to learn to like the taste of alcohol.

Though if I don't want the hangover the next morning, I'll smoke a joint, it's pretty much the same feeling, just without the hangover or the negative effects on your body.

But I know that unless I become diabetic, I will enjoy beer until the day I die.

also, it helps to start with something a bit sweeter if you want to work your way into drinking.

I used to only drink Ciders... woodchuck and magners are pretty decent

beer's taste never goes away... you just get used to it. after I got kind of 'over' the more sweet drinks, I went on a hunt for a beer I actually really liked.

Heineken is pretty good

Dos Equis is also pretty good

those are really the only two beers I really enjoy. I'll drink a corona if I have to but prefer one of the above instead.
