Handwriting or Typing? Which do you prefer?

I do a lot of both; but I want to say typing for me, personally. I seem to type more than I write. Since, I'm on a laptop for hours on end, and I do online schooling (which involves a lot of handwriting as well).

 

 

How about you all? (Wow, I use that a lot.  )

I cannot stand hand-writing.

 

My penmanship is miserable, because I hardly have any practice. I've used the computer so much for so long, that my typing speed reaching 110+ words per minute in speed. It's so much more efficient that I don't even consider actually writing things down, any more.

Depends on the situation.

 

When typing, I do it when it requires me to write a long essay or an assignment with a project involved.

 

When writing, I don't mind doing is most of the times like for a test, homework, or for whatever occasion.

 

In the end, I'd say I'm ambidextrous with both hand and type writing.

Handwriting! Why? Cause typing can get annoying and you can mess up and it's just hard to look down at the key board when typing. But handwriting you know what you're doing.

Typing for me because it doesn't tire my hands at all,yet I do mess up alot when trying to type quickly,yet hand writing gives you hand cramps

I'm really slow at handwriting, but it still has more style and... "personality" than typing. All notes and drafts I make are handwritten. It's natural for me to only type it down for legibility.

I like typing way better. I think I'm more creative when I type, I type more words, and it goes by faster when I'm typing. But I hate writing.

Writing. I'm less prone to mistakes and there's something about it that feels very satisfying. Writing out a bulleted list of things to do, talk about in a meeting, and pretty much anything else feels more like an accomplishment. I've also found it helps me be more creative than when I'm typing.

 

Give me a legal pad and a fine, extra-fine, or ultra-fine point Pilot G-2 pen, and I couldn't be happier.

Definitely typing. I get more things done when I type and when I type my hand doesn't cramp like it does when I'm hand-writing.

Typing. My handwriting is terrible and a lot of people have trouble reading it unless I put a concentrated effort into making it neat. That takes soooo much longer though, and I don't have time for that if I'm taking notes in some classes or writing for a test. I prefer typing because it's easier to go back and fix mistakes, and I can get words down so much more quickly. Plus, no one has any problems reading my typing.

Handwriting. Despite the fact that I spend much more time typing, I find writing by hand more comfortable. And sheets of paper don't annoy me half as much as this ancient laptop with its update checking, restart timers, slow downs, faulty battery, etc.

Firstly, typing is the most convenient way to send messages nowadays, considering no one really focuses on handing printed assignments anymore. If I were to send in an English essay hand printed... I think I'd get a bunch of weird looks.

 

 

The feeling of handwriting can be quite nice,but I have to agree that I love typing. That's only because my handwriting is barely readable though. XD

I really loathe handwriting. I'm not one of those people blessed with great handwriting. I'm kinda OCD about it and since my handwriting is so terrible it really irks me.

 

Typing is so much more efficient, and easy to correct mistakes. Backspace > Eraser

Typing, typing, typing, typing! A long string of injuries from 2003 on worsened my already mediocre handwriting to the point where not even I can read it anymore unless I write very, very, very slowly, and the last time I wrote, last November, I had to write so much I was diagnosed with tendinitis in my right arm and had to take myself off of almost everything for months because my arm hurt too much for me to even keep it still and the medications I was taking for it weren't doing jack shit. Typing, meanwhile, I can read what I write without having to write at 0.1 words per minute, doesn't put as much stress on my arm as writing and I am more familiar with the keyboard than I am the pencil.

 

Yes, I really did get tendinitis from writing. Really makes me look forward to have to write to pay the bills and sign checks and things like that on a daily basis pretty soon .-.

Ha. I'm one of those people that love handwriting. Whenever the teacher made us write tonnes of stuff from the board my whole class would groan but I'll admit I actually loved it. In fact, I'd rather write than type on here if it were possible. I also find I did much better in remember things when I write than type, for some reason. Writing all the way.

I'm much better at typing (I have a not very impressive 75 wpm), but I love the look of handwriting. Everyone's is so different and exclusive to a single person. There are little things I love about handwriting, like how you can "change your font" to look as different and unique as possible. My handwriting, for instance, is unique because I don't dot my i's and j's. That's only one difference between my handwriting and the norm

I am a man of typing. I am so much faster typing than writing, with much more neatness or worry of misspellings.

Though handwriting is nice, as an electrical device or typewriter isn't required.

My writing is also very messy. With typing I can chose what font I want without making a mistake (Besides spelling, but there's autocorrect for that!)

I do not have pretty handwriting in the slightest so it's typing for me if people want to understand what I'm saying.
