A box without hinges, key, or lid,
Yet golden treasure inside is hid.

Another Hobbit riddle. The answer is an egg.

I can't even guess at these hobbit riddles -_- A woman shoots her husband. Then she holds him under water for over 5 minutes. Finally, she hangs him. But 5 minutes later they both go out together and enjoy a wonderful dinner together. How can this be?

Whilst that sound terribly wrong, I think I have the answer.
The woman shoots him full of medicine, bathed him, and hung his clothes? (Prolly wrong. :( )

I've got it!
She's a photographer! She shot (a photo) of him, held (the photo of) him under water for 5 minutes, and then hung (the photo of) him.

What has four legs in the morning, two legs at midday, and three legs at night?

This riddle is known as "The Riddle of the Sphinx". Don't go searching it before you reply though!

I remember this riddle. It is man. He crawls on 4 legs as a baby, walks on 2 legs as an adult, then uses a cane as a senior citizen. Now you can't eat me.
