It's about you being a guy who finds two girls love making attractive...

The difference between the two of them is that men are held much more strictly to a sense of masculinity than women are.

Women are; mostly subconsciously, mind you; viewed as inferior to men. Thus, when they do something that strays from society's set boundaries, such as act as lesbians and fall in love with other women, it's more easy to accept, as they, to the general public, don't make as much of an impact.

Men, meanwhile, are considered the standard of society and everything it is. Men are held to a strict standard of having to be manly, masculine, and as such, are expected to remain on the path only of what is expected of them. They can't fall in love with men - they're too busy watching the teenage girl next door changing as she accidentally left her window open.

Let me make it clear that I hold no one to any standards, and, as I have stated many times before, I consider the use of labels and gender roles complete and utter BS. But this is simply how it is... or at least how I think it is, anyhow.

You better off not replying to him, its just simple minded shallow thinking. :|

Lol

Sorta disappointing that so many people think that way.

Yeah they definitely are here, even though the Netherlands is in general a really gay friendly country people still look a tad weirdly at male gay couples than they do at lesbians

In principle I have no opinion about any kind of relationship, but I think buttsex is super, super gross. Of the three basic combos (M/M, F/F and M/F), only M/M is "buttsex or no sex". It's just as gross when guys do it with girls btw.

I kind of figure the only reason people oppose same sex relationships (aside from indisputably retarded religious reasons) is because it squicks them out, and its a little easier on the imagination to think of people using body parts that were made for sex to have sex, instead of body parts that were made to eliminate stinky food waste.

Men are stuck in this role of being masculine, men should like explosions, violence and fire (But listening to death metal is apparently a step too far for the most of us). We should be emotionless beings, able to turn the necks of squirrels without a second thought. Which is pretty odd, considering we should also be able to be the friendly, respectable dad in the family. Strange how people want men to be both ideals, considering they clash on all fronts.

Anyway, the general stereotype of male homosexuals is that they are drama queens, wimps, girly. Basically anything that we would refer to as a "faggot". While this stereotype is very, very far from the truth, it still holds today. Combine that with the masculinity issue, and you have a big cooking pot of hate. This whole issue has been slowly cooling down slowly, but it is nowhere near lukewarm yet.

I guess lesbians are generally more accepted because girls (possibly) simply don't care and the majority of guys are straight, for those guys it isn't a problem at all seeing those two girls together. Generally, as long as the girls are, in general society's view, decent-looking, nobody will turn their head. However, two guys kissing is apparently a complete sin, even punishable by death in some countries.  Even in pro-homosexual countries like Holland, lesbians are still more accepted than gay people. Seriously, my elementary and middle school were not fine with gays at all, but totally accepting of lesbians. Most of them only hold up a social acceptable front, hiding their real opinion from others besides close friends.

In my own opinion, I don't give a damn. I wouldn't even notice homosexual couples kissing or being all lovely in public, at least I wouldn't notice it more than with heterosexual couples. As long as they don't act indecent in public, there is nothing to be said, the same goes for heterosexual couples of course. Everyone should be treated equally, and anyone messing with me when I'm out with my bf in public should expect their face driven into the nearest wall, multiple times. Expect the same treatment you give someone.

I don't know because I am not looking for it...but I have gotten asked A LOT by people if I'm lesbian. Just because I have the "attributes" of a lesbian doesn't mean I'm attracted to boobs (lol, that's what I tell them)...that and I'm married to a wonderful man.

As many have pointed out, gender stereotypes have determined how the LGBT community is "judged." I look naturally butch (I have extremely broad shoulders for a female), and people just assumed I was gay without much of any negatie judgement. Although some were actually dissapointed when I tell them I'm not.

Although I had a situation, where an older couple, who professed Catholism, outright condemed me to he** without asking me or anything. In that situation, I was supply getting with my husband, who wandered off into a nearby aisle at this time so I was alone. My husband heard (they weren't quiet about it) came to me, and got in their faces when he realized they were talking to me.

So, it's not just typical gender stereotyping either, religion plays a big role as well as attributes that could be precieved as gay in any way (such as an effiminate guy or a masuline female) and how people dress (especially guys it seems). The media does nothing to help and religious fanatics just need to calm down and seriously reevaluate what they believe before they judge anyone for anything....

The only reason lesbians are seen as more 'accepted' is because many men think girl x girl is hot. That's not acceptance, it's fetishisation. Show them a middle aged lesbian couple who don't conform to shallow beauty standards, and they soon reveal exactly how they feel about women loving women.

Many girls fetishise hot gay men, so it's a natural kind of thing. Not judging anyone here. But while straight women are generally accepting of lesbian couples, straight men often react with disgust when confronted with homosexual male couples.

This does, sadly, result in most homophobic violence and bullying being directed at gay men. It's definitely safer to be a lesbian than a gay man. But it's not really more 'accepted'. Those same men who think girls kissing is a great thing to watch will turn around and deny those girls the right to marry.

Lol Im going to sound like a perv when I say this but, anole penetration is not the only type of sex the people have; whether you be MxM, MxF, or FxF.

I don't really want to make of list about what different types of sex people do have but, its not really as you put "buttsex or no sex".

Excuse me while I go be immature for a second and LMAO in the corner.

What kind of "attributes" would even be considered lesbian? Sorry to ask, just honestly can't really think of anything. You can tell I don't know much about this stuff lol..

@@HawkeyeNate, As far as attitudes go, really anyone who acts more or less like the opposite gender. I am an extreme tomboy. I act a lot like typical college guys, dress like a guy, and even do hard physical labor for fun. As far as an attitude (personality wise if that's what you mean), I am brash, a risk-taker, and am not submissive in any way. None of these attributes can be considered feminine in any way, but that doesn't mean many females have these attributes to some degree.

My overall personality is not in line with any typical feminine personalities that are considered "acceptable" for the majority (being a tomboy doesn't count because it's expected that you grow out of that). If it wasn't for my sexual orientation and the fact I am married, I am indistinguishable from most lesbians. When I was working with homeless youth and young adults my age, I can't tell you how many times I've been hit on by females. They were respectful but disappointed and quite a few a good friends of mine to this day.

I think maybe. When I was at school I saw about 3 or 4 different Lesbian couples, they would even kiss in the hallways, and no one said anything. I think there might have been only one gay couple, and they were mocked relentlessly by both men and women.

Men, seem to find lesbians hot for some reason, which I don't get. It does nothing for me. I think F/F and M/M couples are cute in the same way some straight couples are, but that's just me being a bit of a romantic. Nothing sexual to it for me.

I used to get mocked all the time for being gay, despite being completely straight. I'm not sure why, it might have been because I never dated anyone. Nobody in any school year liked me, and I'm very picky. There's only even one girl I would have considered dating, and she was one of the lesbians I mentioned. I only thought of her as a friend, it's just I wouldn't have minded a relationship if she was straight. I also didn't stare at girl's, because it was rude, and I was usually too lost in thought to notice them anyway.

At my school, we have both lesbian couples and gay couples, and nobody seems to care..

However, I think people ARE more accepting of lesbians. Why? Because if you're gay you "lose your masculinity" while as a woman, you don't seem to lose anything. I don't understand why it's that way. We should just be accepting of everyone, sigh.

I knew that when I wrote what I did, but I figured people would catch my intended meaning. "Of the major and most common sex acts performed mutually hip-high .."

Well cartoon wise and in MLP specifically I don't like any ships period XD but to each his own I'm more open to ships in Adventure Time though (the reason I don't like any ships in MLP (except maybe the canon ones because they're canon so I have no choice) is because I see the ponies as innocent compared with Adventure Time characters and I would love that the ponies kept their innocence in my mind)

But if you mean real life well of course! why wouldn't I?!! the only things I hate about this subject in particular are this:

-Women that act lesbian to be "cool" and a bit "slutty"

-Men that are homophobes yet watch lesbian porn or whenever they see two girls closed up they want them to kiss just for their own convenience and that really peeves me off
