Help with a OCD Problem...

Ok, I have been having a major OCD issue for the last two years.

I would like to have some help and reassurance from someone.

I really need some help right now.

Thanks!

May I ask what OCD tendencies you have without being too cheeky?

OCD is a hard thing to have, my mother has a mild form of it. Just don't think you're alone or different, there are people with OCD everywhere and you might be able to see a specialist who will be able to help you if it affects your day to day or quality of life.

It's annoying to me as well, but its not a thing to get hung up on, or be sad about. OCD can't really harm you, unless something crazy happens.

the only way to stop disorders in the brain is to use the brain. If you can somehow manage to convince yourself you don't have it, it might go away. My anxiety did, so I feel OCD could as well.

This may seem weird, but I have an OCD Issue with religion. Now, It all started when my I was derping around on the internet, and I saw a "Pony Hypnoses" thread. It has many characters such as RD and Fluttershy. Fluttershy did not work, so I played Rainbow Dash's one. I played it for about ten seconds, then I thought it was too weird. I looked ack in the comments to see what others though of it.

One person said demons can get inside of you this way.  Then BAM! Now for the last two years I have been freaked out of my gored, and I have been praying to god that nothing bad happened to me that day. Now it is getting really bad. I cannot listen to anything that is at volume 6 of has the number 6 in it, and I can only put things on high shelf's, and nothing on my low shelf's in my room (Because they are closer to heaven.

I just want someone to talk to, I just want some reassurance. (Also now, I can't look at Fluttershy. She was my favorite before that day)

Knowing that you're religious I can help a little bit because I am as well. Your God is omniscient, omnibenevolent and omnipotent which means that God is all knowing, all loving and all powerful. Your God loves you and will not let harm come to you as he has the omnipotence to destroy anything that would hurt you.

You should pray to God in a positive way. Have a general conversation about your day with him etc. and stay happy and positive. (:

I use to have OCD, the obsession of washing hands one.
I use to believe everything around me was poisoned, and when I had to inevitably touch something I had to was  my hands.
It got so bad that my hands were cracking and peeling.
I don't remember the exact details, but I remember getting over it with some pills and alot of counseling.

Made me cringe.
You will find that people that say ponies or hypnosis are demon related, or can cause demon possession, are nothing more then over religious idiots.
You are fine, 100% positive that there is nothing in you.

Well  I think you would know by now if something had happened on that day by now. I don't think a demon would lurk around that long and not show up.  Not sure if this will help you but I usually find when I"m scared about something ( after watching or reading scary stuff intentionally or unintentionally  I usually am on edge worried whatever is gonna like show up , no matter how illogical) then I usually pray or (since I"m Christian) I read the Shepard's prayer and that usually relaxes me.

On the shelf bit though if it's like a book shelf that's dangerous not to have anything on the lower shelves and only on the high shelves , that's gonna unbalance it and maybe make it tip if it got hit or something.

See, that's just the thing. Ever scene that day my OCD has basically talked itself into making me think that I DO have something in me. The logical side of my brain says no, I don't have anything inside of me. Then my OCD is like "Yep you do!"

So I am into believeing that something happened that day. But that us just my OCD convincing myself.

This doesn't sound like OCD. Try checking for paranoia instead.
You can't get possessed by a demon by pretending you're a fictional cartoon horse. You can't. If you are, then you've managed to snag yourself the most depressed, self-loathing demon in existence. Really, though, this just can't happen and is all a pile of superstition.
Don't worry yourself about it, there is nothing out to get you, regardless of what some guy said about Pony Hypnoses.

I was diagnosed with OCD, Panic Disorder, Chronic Depression, and Schizophrenia when I was 15.

With my OCD, I washed my hands so much until they were raw and bled. I also have to open and close my window a certain amount of times.

I am on medication for it, and it helps.

I would recommend seeing a certified psychiatrist like I did.

Medication and psychiatry can help a lot of people. It has never helped me, but I am doing a little better on my own now. I still have severe OCD but I am managing it. However, I would definitely recommend that the OP try.

the only way to stop disorders in the brain is to use the brain. If you can somehow manage to convince yourself you don't have it, it might go away. My anxiety did, so I feel OCD could as well.

From the National Institute of Mental Health:

"Getting dressed in the morning was tough, because I had a routine, and if I didn't follow the routine, I'd get anxious and would have to get dressed again. I always worried that if I didn't do something, my parents were going to die. I'd have these terrible thoughts of harming my parents. I knew that was completely irrational, but the thoughts triggered more anxiety and more senseless behavior. Because of the time I spent on rituals, I was unable to do a lot of things that were important to me."

OCD has varying severities, but considering the obtrusive behavior of OCD thoughts, trying to convince yourself that you don't have it would probably make things worse.
