What about Angerfist and Nosferatu D:

man, i must have seen Angerfist perform life for over 10 times now! i even have a legitimate Angerfist mask!

when it comes to terms like that, Angerfist is the true ambassador of hardcore.

also, nosferatu, i grew up with his music. who could forget his Nightmare anthem? :D

also, gotta love me some Elstak. that guy is like the godfather of hardcore!

i really like that new track from The Sickest Squad too!

i've seen these guys live at the Nirvana of Noise Hardcore festival in the HMH, and they where massive!

my fav frenchcore track right now must be by Sirio and System3 tough.

The odd hardcore song might get into the charts. But I've only heard one or two songs played in clubs. And I don't know anyone else who likes it :( I always heard it was massive in the Netherlands. Is that true? I'm thinking of interrailing this summer, and if it is I'll give Holland an extended visit :P

Sadly most Old school Hardcore is no longer around it's all been replaced with modern hardcore and hardstyle.

Ugh why did they have to end thunderdome :(

I've been listening to this song a lot:

Mod Approved  :comeatus:

I'm not into those songs, but there are a few in each genre that I like.

Personally I like Dubstep, glitch hop, and electro.

yeah it's a shame the original orginasation stopped doing thunderdome, tough it's also good ID&T didn't continue it. i don't  think thunderdome would have been the same.

you have no idea!

if i counted correctly, there are 265 hardcore/hardstyle festivals this summer out here in the netherlands! festival season started last saturday with "Indicator" (wich i visited), Brothers open air and daydream festival.

overall the dutch hardEDM scene is best discribed as enormous. here, i'll link you some trailers to some festivals i'm visiting this year:

Defqon.1!

and a aftermovie because they don't make trailers for Dominator :P

Yeah the end of Thunderdome ended the hardcore era, but they went out with a hell of a bang :P

As disappointed I am with missing out on the hardcore era, I'm glad it ended before it could be killed

Yeah, I know how you feel

Did you know that after The Final Exam (best name ever!) the Thunderdome radio show stayed on for about another year and on the last ever show they did a 6 hour edit to end the era, you can still see it on the website it was 1 hell of a mix.

It always upsets me a little when I use the term "end of the era"

yeah i listened to it live!

it's a shame the radio crew had to quit tough. they where really amazing. Their Nirvana of Noise special was hilarious too!

but not all hardcore has stopped luckily. there are still tons and tons of other hardcore festivals out there.

Yeah, Luckily Masters of Hardcore came to save the day, but it's still not the same, I think its kind of like the brony fandom, where it use to be amazing in its peak but now its kinda just there y'know?

Oh i love some old skool music. While the first wave mostly missed me I was there for the big beat / electronica invasion in the second half of the 90's. Have some Old Skool UK  breaks which still hold up pretty nice. It's nice to know so many white labels have been digitized and re-uploaded. A lot of music from that era has continued to live on.

but it's still not the same

yeah i know what you mean. tough the MoH festivals are notorious for their very own epic reasons, they will never be what Thunderdome was.

but that's also kinda good. i mean, if everybody was just going to imitate the dome, there wouldn't be as much of the festivals as there where now.

and eventough it sucks sometimes, styles change. and Thunderdome was really set around the rave/early scene, wich doesn't have such a big following anymore nowadays.

i find the scenes of today quite fascinating, really. with hardstyle becoming more and more commercial out here in the netherlands. and hardcore is more popular then ever!

even the most basic tecno raves have a hardstyle closing act nowadays. hell, i went to a underground drumm and bass party in club Simplon and the played some hardstyle!

to me, it's like it's never been bigger the now.

Outta Space

i always loved The Prodigy! they where the inspiration to many of the big early dj's out there now.
