Does anyone ever sleep outside?

Do you ever sleep outside?

Why do you sleep outside?

Do you ever go camping?

In the summer I like to sleep outside sometimes, It's pretty safe to sleep outside where I live (English countryside), I occasionally sleep outside in the summer to feel closer to nature.

I also sometimes sleep outside because I used to be homeless, to remind myself how lucky I am and to not take things for granted.

If you don't ever sleep outside, Is camping something you would like to do in the future?

I actually used to love sleeping outside~! But I had an extremly bad experience which is why I'm the nervous wreck I am today, so I'll never sleep outside again. But I love to open the window at night to get the fresh air. And if it's raining, it helps me sleep, and I always have a great sleep that night =3

Buddy, I don't even GO outside. I don't even like the natural light of the sun seeping into my room. Exiting my house when I'm forced to play outside puts me in a light sense of despair, not exaggerating.

Why the Tartarus would I be caught sleeping outside?

Me and you are polar opposites. I LOVE the sunlight in the morning, while the night tends to fill me with despair. Although it depends on the mood I'm in. If the weather is cool, but mild, I tend to hang around outside a bit during the night.

Well I’ve been camping, sometimes with friends out in the back garden.

I’ve never been a fan of camping, hanging out with friends is fun but sleeping in the cold and the damp of a tent is not.

Having said that, I love the rain and I find the sound and the gentle drops soothing: and have sometimes wanted to sleep in rain

I DO prefer the day, though that's more because I have to go to bed at night.

What I meant was that I just don't like going outside. I don't know what it is, but all my ability to have fun just flies right out of me when I'm outdoors. I don't like it, but for some reason, I just hate the outdoors and everything about it.

To each their own, of course, but I'd personally be happy to live my entire life in a basement, free from nature.

I can only see myself sleeping outside while on vacation at a tropical place. As for camping I used to go camping with my family and a couple friends all the time when I was a kid, but I've grown bored of that years ago. I do like the sense of freedom and the relaxing sound of nature when sleeping outside though.

I would sleep outside, but I live in a small town with big city problems, so sleeping in my backyard really isn't safe. My mother and stepfather are not the kinds of people to enjoy camping, and my brother never takes me along with his friends since I'm a dud when it comes to casual socializing (mild autism and introvertism, not a good combo).

I always wanted to sleep in an old fashioned rope hammock that's tied between two trees; maybe read a book with a pocket sized flash light, or let my eyes adjust to the dark and stargaze until my eyelids get heavy and I fall asleep. Perhaps someone special would even join me so we could cuddle...

Yea, I basically just told you my number one fantasy.

The last time I slept outside was a couple years ago, it was when I started dating my ex girlfriend and we slept outside on a nice summer night.

I haven't gone camping in a very long time, I'm not a big fan of it anymore unless you go with certain people that make it exciting, otherwise it's kind of boring.

Sleeping under the stars on the day after Christmas with a pocket knife in hand just in case someone wants to interrupt me sleep.

That day, I ran away from home...

Even though the events leading to me sleeping outside was upsetting, the night sky is worth it.

I guess camping doesn't really count, since you have the tent over your head, but I don't really fancy the idea. I'd rather my nice, warm bed over cold, damp grass any day.

Um... No. I don't even trust my backyard at night to let my dogs out. I get very nervous when I'm alone at night and have to let them out.

You never know who or what is out there. There is no way I could find the peace of mind required to sleep outside.

Until I was in my mid-twenties, I did a lot of camping.  My family went camping almost every summer and (because it was safe to, at the time), I used to sleep in a tent in the backyard ALL THE TIME when I was a kid.

I haven't been camping for quite a while now and I don't know if I would do it again.  But it's something I enjoyed once upon a time.

When I lived in the country, the boonies, the absolute middle of nowhere, I would pitch a tent in the field when it warmed up and would sleep more soundly than in my own bed.

My family owns a small fishing cabin without any plumbing or electricity in Canada. It's right beside a lake that has a large population of loons. Every evening, rather than sleeping in the cabin, I would sleep in a tent so I could better hear those loons and the water lapping. Trips to the cabin typically lasted a week. Five days of sleeping outdoors, in the most peaceful place I've ever known. Wish I could go more often.

Sleeping under the stars is very peaceful, tbh.  However, i rather do that during the summer and also have a girl with me, cuz sleeping outside alone just gets..............boring, :(

Nope, never. I wish I could go camping though.

I am concerned that I'll be harmed somehow (minor or seriously) if I stay outside unguarded, unaware, and exposed.

I slept outside when I was in Spain. It was impossible to sleep inside, due to the heat.

Sleeping outside when I was 20yrs...turned into a nightmare and one of the reasons why I don't enjoy "outdoor camping" with a tent, I must have a RV or a cabin or it just won't work.

Reason why is because the last time I went camping outside in a tent... we didn't predict that it would be VERY cold... and due to that and uncomrtable sleeping on the ground, I stayed up all night, tried to sleep in the car but it was cold there too... I ended up getting a bacterial respitory infection... So since then i hate tent camping.

That doesn't mean I hate the outdoors, I love to go fishing, cook over a camp fire, sing songs etc, just that I have to have an indoor home to sleep in with a bed! lol
