I figured I'd upload this so you could see a little better. The scanner kind of washed out the grey so...just for reference, his hair is supposed to be grey.

I think I have this thing towards posting on threats that have 0 replies. 

So, lets start. The tail does not match the mane in any way which is not a horrible thing. The problem is that the tail is VERY huge, maybe I could let it go if he was a mare but we are talking a Stalion. And a Pegasus for that, imagine how hard it would be to fly with a tail that huge. So my advise is that you make the tail a lot shorter. 

Legs are also a bit out of proportion.

First of all I don't see how the gender of the pony has to do with anything. Second I suppose I should have posted the description of the pony in both of the places I posted the picture, but this pony has never flown before. He's parallel to me, and since I'm not eighteen he's also not yet eighteen, so his parents are still clipping his wings (a metaphor for my parents not allowing me out of the house). Also I tend not to make their manes and tails match exactly. I don't really care if it's show accurate and I feel like any given pony could grow their mane of tail out or cut it short however they wanted to.

 

Also I did not ask for feedback. Especially of the negative kind. Maybe you were trying to give constructive criticism but that's not how it came across at all and most of the things you mention are completely irrelevant if you take into consideration that everyone has a different style and a different way of making OCs. Also, the 'let's start' just makes it sound like you go into peoples art threads and just start telling them everything that's wrong with their OCs, which is actually pretty rude.

This is just. Look, I suppose you don't know me. Hello, I'm Rat. I'm a fan of gender equality and anyone doing whatever the f*** they want to. My best friend has probably around two foot long hair and it's freaking awesome. He looks like Legolas. Boys do not have to have short hair. Girls do not have to have long hair. Gender neutral people do not have to be society's definition of androgenous. Point being, if this pony likes his tail long and his mane short, good for him. Personally, if I had a nice pretty tail, I'd grow it out hella long. My hair on the other hand I like to keep short for sailing. And you don't have to 'blame me' for anything, man. I actually think the leg size is quite suitable. If he's a younger stallion, in his teenager years, well... some teenagers are very tall, and lanky. I think these legs give off that kind of look pretty well.

The front legs are a little farther forward than I meant them to be, but I tend to draw the legs about as long as it is from the top of the head to the bottom of the body so I don't think this is big for my style? Or did you mean big sideways? The front legs are a little wider than I meant them to be but that was a mistake in the inking. I wouldn't call them 'really big' though.

 

Also the 'here we go again' is yet another rude thing to say. Seriously, it's almost like you're trying to piss me off.

Actually that was my way of trying to be friendly and make a joke. 

And actually when I looked way closer and stared at it for like 5 minutes I noticed that the proportion is about right, but now I noticed the body being really small. But here I am pretty sure that you meant to do that. 

 

I guess when I look at it with all the proportions you made I can sort of understand the way you drew him, problem is that these are not noticeable easily right away.

dude, you seriously need a lesson on creative critique.

First, I'm pretty sure RetroArcadeRat didn't ask for any sort of critique, and it's really rude to just go willy nilly and complain about other people's artwork.

Second, the way you "critiqued" sounded really mean. Hopefully you didn't intend it, and next time you will phrase things in a nice and helpful manner.

Third, people can design their character's however they want. It's not your job to police other people's creations.

Fourth, if you have ANY rude comments, keep them to yourself.
