New Ranks?

I think it would be awesome if new ranks were added. It feels a bit of an awkward conclusion to end being a unicorn. (If you're not an administrator or a royal guard).

 

Maybe a cutie mark crusader rank or a WonderBolt rank?

'Hey, let's add ranks' is far easier said than done x) Only one artist around here produces these rank images the same way the original set was made, and it's more of a headache than one might think to try and come up with an order that makes sense to the most amount of people. We did an overhaul on them with several new ranks a while back, and I know I don't personally have any desire to try to go through it again anytime soon.

As CD says, for creating new badges, I suppose you'll have to talk to me here. I created the latest badges that were added and it would not be way too hard for me to create two new badges or something like that.

 

However, I do not think that we need more badges than what we got. Not only is it fine how it is, but also, a lot of people will complain if we put in more badges and change the numbers so people who have badge B will be back with badge A again. About adding more badges after, I don't think we really need that now either. As for now, Scootalove and I are the only two active people on the forums with a unicorn badge, adding even more badges is not really "needed" right now. Besides, I am quite busy and adding more badges is not really a priority when we do have a lot of badges already.

New badges are always a good idea, especially since there're new creatures in the show (like breezies).

But like Jokuc said, the only members who would have them are him and Scootalove...

However, not to go overboard, but I believe what these forums should have..........is Forum Medals.   Now for this process, for those who have been around Halo Waypoint, each week members are rewarded medals by their dedication, creativity, etc.  Such as this:

• "Community Member of the Week" - members who have been active and provided perfect detail posts should be rewarded with something.  Each week, one member is rewarded this medal by others who nominate that member on a "Nomination thread". The image of a CMOTW medal would be the Wonderbolts Medal.
• "Friday Caption Fun" - basically what admins do is post a random comedy picture on the News/Blog each week and also make a thread of it, giving members the opportunity to be creative by coming up with a humorous joke regarding the picture.  The image of FCF would be Pinkie Pie's cutie mark.
• "Art of the Week" - each week, Admins would post a thread on one particular subject like "Twilight and Spike", giving artists a chance to be creative with something involving Twilight and Spike and on Thursday, admins, ponyville staff, and Mods would judge on whats better and 5 of those selected artists would be rewarded this medal.  Once selected, another subject is posted.  The image of this medal should be a "paint brush and paint board".

.........this is just part A of the idea, but i've got plenty of others for each section, specifically, Roleplay; Art; Music/Remix; etc.

TBH, that could be, however, I don't think it would go down that path.  On Waypoint, those who are nominated are those who dedicated there time here, making constructive posts, giving positive feedback on a specific subject, etc.  With regards with having the same group over and over again, sometimes, what we do is re-nominate 1 and only 1 member from the previous week, and choose another 5 people.  Once that week is up, then you may go back to your previous choices from the week before.  For instance:

 

For this week, I nominate:

and Scootalove wins this weeks CMOTW, then I can choose one of my previous choices, then spend time on these forums, not only going through topics, but seeing who makes constructive, strong, well-written posts, and I nominate them.  And after that week, I can go back to the week before and choose the remaining one.  So if I voted Champion for CMOTW, b/c he didn't win the last week, then I would have to place him aside and vote for you, and then repeat the process.   It may sound complicated but it would make it fair b/c it would give members a chance to nominate other great members instead of re-nominating the same members, over and over again,
