Brony Movie/Documentary (2014)

I heard about it through following Silva Hound, who is apparently going to be one of the featured bronies in the movie. They say this one's going to be far more focused on rank and file bronies and the fandom side of things versus star power like the De Lancie documentary was. That makes me interested in it (that and Silva), but I'm still skeptical of 'yet another brony doc'.

I'll watch it if only outa morbid curiosity. While I'm sure this was made with good intentions, it just feels like another "look at me plox!" type documentary, were the issue at hand is going to be blown far outa proportion to make for a more dramatic experiance.

I don't think it'll ultimately add a whole lot more to the subject matter already covered by Bronies: The Extremely Unexpected Adult Fans of MLP, but I'll give it a watch regardless once it hits Netflix.

I didn't even know there were documentaries made about it, let alone more than one.

As a societal phenomenon I suppose it's good to cover, I just hope they get some variety in there instead of singling in on just the weird guys. A lot of people are convinced that bronies are ONLY creepy basement-dwellers but there are a lot of "normal" people who are bronies as well.

That guy in the trailer that @ mentioned said "it's just a bunch of people who like a cartoon, that's it." That's pretty much all it is in it's base form. People treat it like it's anything more than that, like it's just to stand out from the crowd but it means so much more to bronies. But that's where a lot of the bad stereotypes comes from. They believe it to be something supernatural when it's mostly chance.

Wait... its starring THE Ashleigh Ball, who voices Rainbow Dash and Applejack? Oh yeah! :D Just watched the trailer... looks sweet! :D Kinda wish that all these movies weren't only focused on bronies, and showcased Pegasisters like me as well but... whatcha gonna do. Looks cool anyways, will probably watch it if I can find it free online (or if it comes out on Netflix) somewhere. ^^

First time I'm hearing about it. Yay for more of the show's cast taking creative leaps and bounds in responding to the fandom, following after John as well as others' who did their own things in their own way. Like Tara trolling bronies on Twitter XD
