About Me

Welcome to my Profile!

While you're here, why not learn a little about me?

It's only fair to give you warning, after all.

Despite my username, I have many nicknames that people call me, though the most frequent of these are Millie and Kittan, I will also respond to Whinny if that's what you choose to address me as. While I have an extensive list of nicknames on other sites, I think that's adequate to detail for this one, since I always seem to gain more nicknames at every site I join.

My visits to the site will be rather sporadic since I am a second year student for Biology degree, which eats up a lot of my time. While writing this, in the next few weeks I have three work sheets of questions to complete, two oral presentation to prepare for and give and two practical write-ups due in. Not to mention all the outside reading I'm supposed to accomplish in my own time.

Taking a year out from school, I've travelled rather well. Though I've only been to one place on America (Florida, and it was all a bit too touristy for me...need to go somewhere else in America) I've been through France and Germany, as well as Belgium and Denmark. I hope to go to Sweden and Italy at some point, to have covered a larger area of Europe, because it is a gorgeous place. I have also been all the way down to Australia, and that's where I found my other half of four years. We're getting married in April.

I case you haven't guessed already, I'm not from America but from the United Kingdom, more over England to be exact. I have a serious English accent (British accents are a myth) and have also travelled widely over the UK - just Ireland left to visit. I live in a seaside town on the South-East coast, but I wish to live in the countryside. My dream house would be far enough into the sticks to have visits from wildlife such as foxes and pheasants.

On a side note, I am addicted to reading and am very picky about my book. I tend to read the first few pages of a book before even considering buying it, ending up with a lot of books I plan to read bet never get round to. My fiance bought me a kindle to keep a track of all the books I want to read and are reading, simply because otherwise I have a pile of them next to the bed he keeps falling over.

Though not a hard-core gamer, I enjoy:
- Pokemon games (I own them all. Lol...)
- The Sims (2 and 3, I have both on my computer)
- Professor Layton
- Sonic the Hedgehog (Generations is cool. I have all the classics too.)
- Mario Kart
- Bioshock

If you made it this far, thank you for reading. Now we get to the less fun stuff...

The Bad Traits...

I am highly opinionated and stubborn to a fault, making arguments with me impossible. I like to defend my opinions and beliefs with gusto, and as such can cause raging disagreement when in a particularly argumentative mood, which is usually caused by illness.

Most of the time, I am ill in one form or another. I have a lot of food allergies and a reduced immune system, leading to a lot of sickness caused by both bugs and digestion problems. My allergies are anything but clear cut and I'm still discovering them, so expect me to be unwell often.

People who come online just to complain get on my wick. I've tried to stop letting it bug me, but I find complaining about a situation to be pointless. If you want something to change, do something about it. Whining to people on the internet about it won't make any of it better for anyone.

The Good Traits...

Despite the things above, I care about people. If you have a serious problem and not something that can easily be cured by getting off your backside, I will listen and offer the best advice I have. While I don't claim to be the Bible, I do have life experience and can offer tidbits or advice on where you can go for better help.

Helping people makes me happy. If you have any Biology homework or are stuck with spelling or grammar, I can help you with those. Biology is my subject and, while I don't know the technical terms for words in the English language I know how to use words correctly
