  1. The films were awful, more than awful. Demo Reel exited the theater rubbing his temple as he left the doors, wanting to get back home as fast as possible to shut himself in for the rest of the week. Just as he left he felt a slight sprinkle on his head. Looking up he saw the clouds begin to darken as the local weather mare tried to ring it in. "Hm. Looks like the weather factory has a new recruit again." He sighed to himself and began walking home, letting his mane and coat get soaked as he began to walk through the streets. Seeing all the town's ponies run for their homes and move out of the way from Demo to get home. Opening his home he walked in and crashed on his couch, rubbing his head as he tried to recover his day. "I swear, Applewood keeps making these films just to spite me." After taking a small breather he looked outside and saw the darkened skies and torrent of rain. He wasn't going anywhere for a while so he might as well get some work done. A crack of thunder struck and he felt a strong tingle go through his spine. "Huh... That's some strange lightning."
  2. Awaking to his usual sites of his home, Demo Reel began his usual routine. Getting his things together for the day, getting his breakfast together. If he was correct, he would be reviewing about two movies today. He couldn't remember what they were, usually that meant he wasn't looking forward to the films themselves or that they were indie films. Either way he found that he would not be enjoying the day today. Quickly finishing his breakfast, he made his way out to the newspaper office to meet his boss, Ink Well. His walk was the same as always and he wasn't a difficult to notice pony. He was taller than most earth ponies, almost reaching Princess Celestia's Height from what some ponies have told him. Opening the office doors, Demo Reel went in to receive his assignment for the day. All around him he could see that ponies were starting to wake up in their office spaces as they typed up their stories. Approaching the editor in chief's office, he found a note for him with his movies he had to watch today. She was probably out stallion hunting again, that or she was late from doing such a thing. Taking the list, he left to do his job. Speculating that he would either be making fun of them or raging against the films he was about to sit through.
  3. Hello guys. Its been a while since I've been here but I've been doing things like moving, getting into college, and other things. But in my absence I've been writing my little pet project(No pun intended). So lets get down to the issue. Basically after Equestria has gone into its form of the dark rule of Tirek and his wife Nightmare Moon, LYra starts her own cult worshiping humans and their glorious feet(I should meantion that this is an anthro fic and Lyra obsessing over hands wouldn't make sense). That's basically the short version of it and I haven't gone into more of it in fear of it not being a good idea and thinking it would be a waste of my time.
  4. @@KokuraiNoSenshi, That is true and I have learned my lesson after watching the older films. But I just wish the guy we got stuck with had more personality than a plank of wood. Actually I can't say that because this guy is a superior actor than him
  5. The theme song to the Ghost Busters.
  6. Meh. he's no Matt Smith, but then again, there wont be another doctor like him again. Peter Capaldi is just getting started but he has a presence to him I like. Plus, its been a while since we've had an old doctor. And no, John Hurt doesn't count.
  7. A few miles out from a small town was a stallion, laying in the back as the driver took him through the country side. This stallion was Demo Reel; a film critic and one of the few who have taken the occupation in Equestria's entertainment industry. The dirt road and the holes in the road made it difficult to sleep. Looking out to the storming rain, Demo yawned as he could feel his hunger starting to settle in. An hour passed as the cart came to a stop. Taking a few bits out from his pocket, he paid the driver as the cart sped off. With no cloak, the rain was free to pelt his coat. Making his way through the town, he was looking for somewhere to rest, and it came in the form of a tavern. Being a critic, he was no stranger to alcohol. Once he opened the door, he began to look around and found an empty booth. A waitress came and handed him a menu for what little there was to order.. The mare came back to the booth. Demo ordered a skotch with some simple salad. The skotch was brought to his table immediately, but it would be awhile as for the salad would take some time. She had other customers to take care of before Demo could see her again with his food.
  8. I don't care if its dark, I want it to be good. Make a good story before you make a dark story.
  9. Sorry things are going down hill for ya PP. wish I could make it better. *Hugs* You're my best friend and I don't want to see you sad.
  10. The group walked along the deserted streets, Cadence looking about the area for dangers while she listened to John talk. "Hm. So it looks like she actually went through with that plan. Shining Armor, Rainbow, Twilight, and I actually discussed such a solution if times got so desperate. But we had no idea human's would be the creature summoned. We all expected something from an unholy land we could summon and remove once our problem was gone." Aaron shrugged. "Well... you got us. Honestly, you'd be better off if with something that could cause collateral damage."
  11. Cadence lead the group into the wreckage of what was once the Crystal Spire. Some of its protective magics still lingered in the stones, which is how Cadence managed to stay safe for so long. Aaron sat Fluttershy on a few blankets where she let out a slight yelp. She began to rub her swollen belly. She must have felt her baby kick a bit. Cadence soon came in and put Twilight down on what was supposed to be her bed. "Alright. Now, we have to discuss some things. Like, why you two are here? Human's have not been seen in Equestria since Tirek's first reign in pre-Equestrian times."
  12. The pink mare looked up at John. "Mia more Cadenza. But you can call me Cadence. Much easier." Cadence put the rock away into a pouch in her bag and picked up Twilight, still in a shattered mess. "Come. We have to get out of here before they show up." Cadence said in an urgent manner. Aaron didn't question it and followed her to where ever it is she was going.
  13. Cadence saw him put away his weapon and eased up on her weapon a bit but kept it on them in case. Aaron moved out of the way a bit to show the broken mare that once was Twilight Sparkle. Cadence was stunned to see her sister in law alive, but the state she was in was no better. She calmly approached her and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Twilight? I-Is that you?" The familiar voice brought her out of her current state and looked up to see Cadence. A small glimmer of hope flickered in her eyes and brought her in for a hug. Twilight said something but it was too broken up through her sobbing to make out. But it was enough to have Cadence place her arms around her. "Twilight... we need to get out of here. Its not safe out in the open."
