I've noticed, that along with their elements of harmony, each pony has a flaw that is major as well. I've heard of the elements of disharmony, so that name is taken by other things, so I don't know a good name for them. Here they are; Pinkie pie's flaw is impatience. She never can seem to wait, and is quite excitable. Apple jack's is stubbornness. Especially at the beginning of season one, she doesn't like her mind changed and may refuse help. Rainbow Dash's is boastfulness. Sure, she can be proud, but she seems too focused on her strength and speed to be good. Rarity's is vanity. She is extremely picky about her appearance. Fluttershy's is shyness. Pretty obvious she is shy. Twilight's was being an outcast, but she has seemed to overcome it. Perhaps some of thing like being to focused on knowledge. hm.. interesting. A big mistake most make when trying to avoid mary sue's is to make them too unique. however, you managed to keep some of the qualities of his race while still making him different. i like how you made it so that he doesnt completely hate what he is. overall, good job!

I can help people make diverse, non-cliche oc's. Most people create mary sue's, characters who are perfect at everything they do. everypony likes them, they are famous, etc. Everyone has hear of the "twists" that are so common they become cliche themselves. (ie, a Pegasus that is nerdy) I may be selling oc's later on if there is much interest, but, for now, i will do it for free. i can either give you an oc i made in my free time, or create one with you. this is my first oc, my avatar is an updated image of her. https://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/brimstone-r6733 Thanks for your interest!

I chose brimstone for my main oc since ir was associated with fire, which is a big part of her character. I chose farfel (a kind of pasta) from my methdical pony naming method. Once i had the character chosen, i took their talentand looked up words related to it ie: "words accosiated with hot airbaloons", and got rise.

I really liked him, but find it strange that his name had little to do with his talent or personality. with the name starchase, i expected him to have something to do with astronomy. Also, the shy, intellectual pony is somewhat cliche, and add in mystery, it will make some groan. it is very nice that he isn't the best at everything he does, it adds uniqueness. It is very nice that he carries an object from his parents, and could very well be a good conversation starter in a rp. very interesting backstory! i love the small details it had, like the whole thing with his name. It also had a very interesting cutie mark trigger story, and the cutie mark is very good. some of the biggest problems with cutie marks nowadays is complicated designs. You do need personality details, as you mentioned.

Hehe. Yes, the colorscheme! You're the third pony I've seen with my Brim's color scheme! Mine started out pure white and red in her scheme, but by the time she was finished, her body had become ashy in relation to her connection to fire, and her mane changed to make it blend better. I think the scheme implies their personality and passions, the same for the shape of their manes. Pont reviews will be coming out later on today

Hey! I've seen everyone else's OC review posts and thought I'd join in. I'll be glad you give you honest reviews. Please know that i use a Mary Jane test to review your character. A mary jane is a character who is cliche and unrealistic i am a writing tudor, and will use the "grow and glow" system, where i will give something positive and negative for every character.
