  1. I used to think I was a vampire. And not the "sexy" kinds of vampires from Twilight, I'm talking about real vampires. You know, the ones who couldn't go out into the sunlight, turned into bats, and drank blood. I based this off of the fact that my canines (just like everyone else's) were a bit pointy. But I mean, come on! That was the only logical conclusion that one could draw from such an observation!
  2. As of late, I've decided to give the series another go. I've started at the beginning with the Friendship is Magic episodes, and I plan on gradually working my way through the entire series again. While I was watching some of the earlier episodes, I began wondering how different it must have been for the guys behind MLP back then. I mean, back then, they thought that their audience would be composed of young girls, and now they know that their audience is composed mainly of teenage and adult males. This got me thinking... What if bronies never existed? What if we all just judged the book by its cover, and never sat down to watch an episode? Without the aforementioned male fan base, how would the show be? Would it even still be around? Where would you be without MLP? I find it interesting to dwell on what could have been.
  3. Orion groaned yet again from his position above the toilet. Keeping the contents of his stomach right where they were, and not sprawled out across the deck had proven to be quite the challenge ever since the boat had begun its journey toward the island. It was almost like he could feel every wave lap the side of the boat, and this only served to accentuate his nausea. The only thing worse than his seasickness was the copious amount of heat that radiated down from the California Sun. He was used to frigid environment of Alaska, the place that he had called home for so many years, and the place where he had honed his ability to generate ice formations. His reminiscence of Alaska was cut short however, when the boat suddenly lurched forward without notice. He was right back to his position over to the toilet, desperately struggling to keep down the airport food he had eaten earlier. "Oh, I hate boats. I hate boats, I hate boats, I hate boats," Orion thought as the boat slowly but surely approached the island.
  4. I already mentioned this in another recent post, but one time, when I was very little, I wanted to surf. I lived in Arizona though, and in that state, oceans are nonexistent. I had to improvise. Instead of a surfboard, I got one of those long body pillows, and instead of an ocean, I used the hardwood floors of my house. I guess I didn't really understand the concept of surfing too well, because I planned on jumping into the air, and quickly throwing the pillow between my body and the ground before gravity could kick in. The inevitable happened: I messed up and ended up slamming my head against the floor. Fortunately, I didn't get a concussion. Just some bruises and a black eye.
  5. Four languages? Sweet Celestia! But anyway, I can speak English and Russian.
  6. Isn't it obvious? The measure of this angle (I'll include a picture, so you know which one I'm talking about) is 134 degrees. When you add one, three, and four, you get eight. In Roman numeral form, eight is VIII. This can be connected to King Henry VIII, the guy who had all those wives that he eventually killed. King Henry VIII was born in Greenwich, England. Do you know what's green? Pickles. On the pH scale, pickles have a value of 4.6. When you square 4.6, you get 21.16. You can arrange that number to be 2,116, which can be converted to the year 2116. This year is in the 22nd century. "Century" is a noun. "Racism" is also a noun. Twilight is smiling because she condones racism. So yeah, this picture promotes racism. That's why everyone is freaking out. But seriously, I have no clue. It's an adorable picture.
  7. I guess she didn't get my ingenious Luna reference. Oh well, at least you guys will!
  8. I did so many stupid things when I was little. I remember back when I was really little, I thought it would be a good idea to use one of those long body pillows as a surfboard, and surf on my hardwood floors. My intentions were to jump into the air, and toss the pillow under me before gravity kicked in. I don't know why I decided to do that, but I did. I'm lucky that when the inevitable happened, and my skull collided with the hardwood floor, I didn't get a concussion. Just some bruises and a black eye. And then there was the time I decided to egg on the angriest, most mental kid in first grade. I kept jumping in front of his path and shouting some unintelligible first-grader nonsense. He retaliated by literally slashing my face with his disgusting, overgrown fingernails. Lets just say that if he aimed an inch or two higher, I'd be blind in my left eye. But we can't forget the time that I almost got abducted! One of my jackass six year old friends hopped on my bike when we were playing together, and drove off. I ended up following him until we both got lost. After about three hours of being lost, some guy with one eye offered to help us get home, so we climbed in his car. Believe it or not, he wasn't a pedophile. He was just a genuinely nice guy. I put my bike in the back of his truck, and he drove us home. Wow, I was a really stupid kid. I don't even know how I'm still alive.
  9. I see. Perhaps my phrasing of the title was a little bit rash. I thank you for revealing the error in my ways. I'll remember your post the next time I delve into a more sensitive topic on these forums.
  10. I don't think that I really tossed the word around as you claimed I did. In fact, my statement pertaining to the questionable hype of Luna as a character actually had some objective grounds to stand on. I often see people possessing a strong affinity for Luna, an affinity stronger than the ones they have for the Mane 6. This is questionable, as we have seen practically no character growth or development from Luna over the four seasons of the show. In fact, she's only had a single episode to herself in the entire show. We rarely see her, and when we do, she's often in the background, behind Celestia. I'm also a bit surprised at the fact that you took my subjective opinion as fact. This makes me wonder if this is something you do all the time. Would you have produced a similar reaction to the statement "hotdogs are good"? Or what about "cats are cool animals"? In fact, according to your own logic, you have no right to declare Luna to not be overrated, and in fact, no one does. If we keep this up, we're going to be getting into paradoxical territory soon. The phrase "Luna is overrated" is an opinion. It is not a fact, and it will never be a fact. That fact that it's an opinion is objective (wow, that was a really weird sentence). We are all entitled to our opinions, just remember that. I apologize if I stated my opinion in a sort of "matter of fact" way. I wasn't maliciously attacking Luna's character, I was trying to hold a civil discussion. I like Luna, I think she's a good character. I really like her backstory. It's just that I was just a bit skeptical of the gross amounts of praise her character has been getting. I wanted to see if all this praise stemmed from her being relatable. I've never had a brother or sister. I've never had a shadow to live in. I wouldn't have known.
  11. Uh oh. You've opened a can of worms with that one! I'd recommend getting out of your house, seeing as it'll probably get hit by four airstrikes in the next ten minutes or so. Bronies are nothing short of the Gestapo when it comes to Derpy.
  12. Throughout my two years in the fandom, I've always wondered why so many bronies form such an affinity for Luna. I mean, if I had a nickel for every time I've seen someone declare Luna to be the best princess, or even pony, I'd have... Well, I'd have a lot of nickels. I just don't see what's so engaging about her character. Maybe it's the fact that others have had to live in the shadow of their siblings, and they can easily relate with Luna? I don't know. Maybe you guys can help me fill in the blanks here. Oh, and if Luna just so happens to be your favorite princess/pony, I heavily implore you to participate by replying to this topic. Thanks guys.
  13. Very good! I'm interested to see what you can do with some better equipment!
  14. Well, the first clips of MLP that I ever saw came from Sonic Rainboom, but the first episodes I actually sat down to watch were the Friendship is Magic episodes. Kind of a boring response, but it's the truth.
  15. Seems like you've already got some volunteers. If you're still looking though, I'd be happy to edit your work. Also: I'm pretty much the biggest Grammar Nazi ever, so your work will be in good hands!
