Tired and extremely sleepy. The weekend still seems so far off and to top it all, it's the end of the month. Things always tend to get super hectic at this time of the month.

Okay, I'll admit it: I am playing my son's favorite NFL game right now. When it comes to these sports type of games, mum and son have pretty much the same preferences!

Thanksgiving is an elaborate occasion at our place, where the entire family gets together at our house. We already started shopping for it at the beginning of the month! First and foremost, the menu is decided - this year it's roast turkey (but obvious!), sausages with herb stuffing, green bean casserole, mash potato gravy, sweet orange potatoes, dinner rolls, cranberry sauce and sparkling cider (see, I know it like the back of my hand!) The kids will have a long weekend holiday so they are planning to watch the much-awaited Penguins of Madagascar movie. Some of us adults will have to accompany them (willingly or unwillingly). The others will lounge back after stuffing themselves with the delectable spread and spend the remaining hours of the day watching football. Oh, and we also like to play the A to Z family gratitude game, where everyone sits together in a circle and every person says out loud what he or she is grateful for, according to whichever letter of the alphabet the player is upto. Festive times are here!

Genie of course! I've even thought up the three things I would ask for: 1. A castle to live in, with a big swimming pool in my backyard. That too in the middle of the countryside. 2. The power to live to eternity (me and all the people I love) 3. No wars in the entire world in future. Fairies are good for dreams, that's it.

In fact, it may happen within the next two decades (i.e. in our lifetimes). "Astronomers think it is very likely that every single star in our Milky Way galaxy has at least one planet," Sara Seager, professor of planetary science and physics at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, said during the talk. "Sometime in the near future, people will be able to point to a star and say, 'that star has a planet like Earth.'" So there! Can't come from a more genuine source than the NASA.

When it comes to music, I generally remain logged in at all times so listen to music online on the internet. My husband in his college days amassed such a huge collection of music CDs and proudly showed it off to whoever would care to visit. And now he's still proud of it but has stopped adding to his collection, I guess it's like a hobby which wears off after a while and they're sadly gathering dust in the corner shelf of our living room. For movies, we usually go watch them in the theaters so we don't have a DVD collection as such, apart from a few. The last DVD we bought was (if I remember correctly) was the first movie of the HTTYD series and maybe The Sound of Music before that. But games yes, here is where the husband and the son form a team and go overboard, collecting all sorts of games at all times, even though they might not end up playing a majority of them more than once. I guess that's how times change - earlier it was music CDs, now game CDs!

Not sure whether this can be called a beauty regimen: I shower twice a day, make sure my hair is squeaky clean at all times, slather on sunscreen twenty minutes before going out in the sun, shape my finger nails and toe nails on a weekly basis and have a manicure/pedicure once in a month plus a hair trim (for removing the split ends) once in 3 months.
