  1. Ziggs had had some time to collect himself before he went up. However, now that Frannis had finished. His time was up. Ziggs was used to public speaking, or generally speaking to lots of stranger at all. However, he needed to go up. It's not as if he could just stay seated. Ziggs took a deep breath and stood up. As he walked to the front, he saw String Shot wave at him. He was always awkward with these types of things, so he nodded and gave him a smirk as he walked to the front of the Class. It wasn't until now that he realized that he was indeed, a foreigner. His accent, however minor, might be odd. And Ziggs instantly felt a bit of anxiety as he took a look around the class. A bead of sweat rolled from his mane down his neck, and he felt quite uncomfortable due to the heat. As he concentrated more and more on his discomfort, Ziggs only felt more anxiety. Ziggs finally reached the front in what seemed like ages to him. However, when he saw Cherilee's smile, he claimed a bit and took a few seconds to compose himself. He took another breath and began to speak: "Uhhh, hi..... My names Ziggs. I transferred from Canterlot and....." Zggs paused a bit and awkward silence filled the room. He realized this and began to speak again, quickly trying to come up with something to say. "My apologies, I'm Ziggs. Im sort of bad at speaking, and I am still trying to learn some of the ropes of Equestrian. I'm not from here." Ziggs remembered at this point that he was supposed to be vague, to avoid trouble or just revealing to much. However, he continued. "I have some interests, which include fishing and reading. I know that both are good for Ponyville, do to the river and the library here.." Again, Ziggs paused. He was really struggling on what to say now, and wanted to leave the front. He wanted to sit down. But then, he remembered the magic some ponies were performing outside and what they were doing. "Ah, yes I attended the magical academy at Canterlot for gifted ponies for a bit. I learned some spells. I can make light glow from my horn, shoot some light, do spells like transmutation, and I can transport some distances.. I also can make light shows as well, and I learned all these at my previous schools. I hope to learn more here and do more in the future" Ziggs finished, but didn't really know how to close his short speech. He felt tired, and he wanted to sit down almost desperately. The silence was a bit awkward, and he hoped someone would let him sit down again.
  2. Ziggs was glad that Cherilee had taken some leniency for his tardiness. Had this been in Canterlot, or even back home- he would have been chewed out and sent to detention. However, all was well for the moment and he took a seat near the front. Ziggs was tired, and despite the chaos going on around the schoolyard, Ziggs put his head on his desk asleep. He dozed for a bit until the bell rung, and he he saw all the ponies taking their seats. He was a bit groggy, and quite a bit unmotivated when he heard Cherilee call them to introduce themselves. Ziggs was definitely caught off guard by this. Ziggs began to panic, and his heart began to beat like a drum, but he calmed down when he saw Francis go up first. "Just a bit of time to collect myself....." Ziggs was a bit disoriented, and was thinking of stuff to say. He definitely did not want to say anything personal, so he decided he would try to be as vague as possible. Ziggs looked on as Francis continued his introduction.
  3. Ziggs saw Cherilee and decided that this was the time to tell her. He walked to Cherilee abd began to speak "Hello.. My names Ziggs and I am the transfer student from Canterlot. I have this paper to show you why I was late... My train was not due to leave until after school had finished yesterday, but here I am..." Ziggs handed the paper to Cherilee and waited for a response.
  4. @@cwhip9, Ziggs was standing idly looking at his surroundings, when 2 worms fly at him and splat on his face. The worms slide off, leaving behind slime and promptly fall back into the ground and become pencils again. Ziggs is caught off guard by this and wipes his face. He faced the direction they came from and saw it was summer bead. He gives him a serious look and slowly picks up the pencils with his magic. He walks slowly to Summer bead- saying nothing, and gives the pencils back. Ziggs then returns to where he stood before- still saying nothing- and turns the other direction. Ziggs tried his best not to show his anger, however, he had been used to this type of bullying, and decided not to start the day off wrong on the first day. He turned his attention elsewhere to distract himself from the previous events....
  5. Ziggs bus arrived at the school on time, and the abrupt stop of the bus made Ziggs head fling forward into the seat in front. He woke up, and took a brief pause, but as the other ponies got off, he took his saddlebag and supplies and stepped off the bus. Chenille was speaking to dragons, and was taken back by this . Ziggs was uneasy around such creatures, and snuck last Cherilee and the dragons while they were speaking. He entered the classroom and stood near Cherilee's desk, waiting to explain why he was a day late. After all, it was customary back at Canterlot.. Meanwhile, in Ziggs bag, his pencils became worms. Ziggs, did not know this however.
  6. A yellow, inconspicuous bust stopped in front of the bus stop, and Ziggs entered the bus with other ponies. He had figured there would be more, but there was only 5 or 6 other ponies on the bus minus the driver. Ziggs didn't care however, and he took his seat at the back, as he usually did. He promptly fell asleep, and the bus took off as planned.
  7. The faint, almost inaudible sounds of running water could be heard from the walls of Zigg's living quarters as the morning sun began to shine on the colts face. He had stayed up for a good part of the night settling in and unpacking his things, and the other arranging the furniture in a way that pleased him. When he finished, he had pre-packed all of his school utensils and books into his saddlebag and had it ready at a moments notice. When he had finished everything, he had now realized he was awake all night, and was exhausted. He had hopped into bed, hoping to catch at least a few minutes of sleep. But it was futile. He knew he had to class and shouldn't skip the day. Not to mention that he had a supervisor that would have to answer to while he stayed in Ponyville. Ziggs could still remember every detail of when he had first met her..... Ziggs couldn't help but feel almost ashamed about the previous evenings occurrences. But there was nothing he could do he thought. (Something about Rarity seemed to make him nervous, almost embarrassed....) He got out of bed and began readying himself for school. When he finally finished attending to his hygiene, he put on his uniform- the only one he had from Ponyville, grabbed his saddlebag, and went outside to wait for the bus. Unlike many of the other ponies at the stop, he was covered from neck to rear as well as down to his legs in clothes. In fact, only his neck, head, and tail were uncovered by some clothes or accessory. This was customary for Ziggs. He was always wearing clothing like this, and in fact, was customary in his homeland. To him, it was odd that others didnt wear clothes. He almost considered it kind of "gross" that Equestrians didnt wear it. But alas, he was not at home, and nevertheless had to wait with everyone else to go to school. He couldn't help but to wonder, was awaiting him next.
  8. A loud whistle could be heard over the Canterlot train station ambiance as the train was departing. As the train gained momentum, the iconic sounds of the powerful steam train making its first chugs began to fill the the cabins it carried with its rhythmic tune. As the train began descending down the mountain, the chugging became faster, until it blended into the mix of sounds that accompanied the calming ambiance of the passenger car. Inside, there was an almost comical mismatch of ponies that rode inside. 3 young colts ran through the cabin- to the dismay of their mother- giggling and playing while their mother walked behind them, making futile attempts to keep them in line. Another pony- a stallion- was taking a nap oblivious to the scene that was occurring. Beside him was his sweetheart, peacefully riding along him while looking at the beautiful scenes of Equestrian landscape. This was the last train of the day, and as such, many of the ponies on-board were napping as well, resting from the toils and trivialities of the previous day. Perhaps the only truly attentive pony on board was the conductor, who had the unwelcoming job of waking the sleeping ponies up to check their tickets. One colt in particular, was perhaps no different from the others. He felt his heavy eyes slowly but steadily close as the trains ambiance lulled him deeper and deeper into sleep. Eventually he could resist no longer, and with that, his eyes closed like curtains on a window and fell into slumber. The now waning summer sun shone on him, making his yellow coat glisten slightly like if it was a polished stone. Normally restless, the colt was catatonic. Suddenly, the ambiance was disrupted by deep stallions voice. "Wake up kid, ye gotta show me yer tickets" The young colt woke up from his stupor, giving a wide yawn and stretched his legs. He paused for a moment, almost as if he was waiting for something, but then realized that the conductor was there, giving him an uncaring look. "Sorry" Of course, the colt wasn't really sorry. He was taught from a young age to say sorry habitually if he inconvenienced someone else, but he had said it so much that the word had no real value to him anymore. It had become in essence, a formality. He rummaged his saddlebag for the ticket to no avail. He then checked his sweater pocket and found the ticket. He handed it to the conductor who examined it. The conductor handed the ticket back. "Carry on" The conductor walked to the next isle to repeat the process, however the young colt was left alone once again. He stuffed the ticket back into his saddlebag, and fell asleep once more to the passenger car ambiance that had lulled him earlier. Unlike most of the ponies on-board, he was not heading too far. He was to stop at the first station- Ponyville. He had been the victim of a paperwork error that had him transferred to Ponyville from the Canterlot Academy for ponies with gifted magic, to which he had ironically been transferred to from an elite magic academy through dubious circumstances far in a nation far to the south. He was in fact, a foreigner in Equestria, and had never heard of Ponyville. Despite his own personal grievances, the situation was out of his hooves. A few hours passed before the train reached Ponyville station. The sun was just beginning to set as the young colt stepped off from the train with his saddlebags. He was the only one to step off, but a few dozen ponies were boarding the train. The colt was looking around when he saw a sign with his name on it seemingly hovering above a a small crown of ponies. Perplexed, the colt walked to it. The crowd was beginning to disperse when he saw a mare with a purple mane smile at him from the distance. "You must be Ziggs then?"
  9. He was a huge edgelord. He was effectively the same, just more mature. You know, his personality is still the same, but just more mature, like more responsible, not a angsty, not so giggly at inappropriate jokes etc. Perhaps just a bit more outgoing as well.
  10. Doing death in a show about magical ponies aimed towards a mostly younger audience would be super edgy. So, no. I don't think that's even an option. However, they could just make some story about Celestia/Luna moving to a different dimension in some universal cycles and junk. Finally explain where Alicorns come from, etc. etc. Could add symbolism and allude to death without actually being death, and at the same time teach a lesson about moving on, picking yourself up, tie up the series, etc. etc.
  11. This topic, in my opinion, merits no real discussion. The idea that the earth is flat, was debunked and discarded a long time starting from the ancient Greeks. I believe it was Socrates who first introduced the idea. The Romans widely thought this as common knowledge and already knew this and accepted it. If you live in America, you've probably heard the story about how people in the middle ages thought the earth was flat and blah blah blah. This is false, nobody thought that. Again, this had been common knowledge since the ancients. The flat earth theory is simply just another iteration of a conspiracy theory. Its based off of pseudoscience, and like I said earlier, should not really merit any real discussion.
  12. Wow pretty good. +1. Working on a drawing myself.
