About Me
Hi all, I'm Blackcat. People who know me more personally call me Ozzy.
First and foremost I think I should mention that I'm a Thanatologist. I study death, dying and bereavement. Please, don't let this fact turn you away. I don't do what I do because of some morbid facination. I do what I do because it's something that needs to be done, and I can help others with my knowledge.
Last year, my girlfriends best friend died tragically. I would not have been able to be there for her as well as I was if not for my studies. It is my dream that in the future I can help many more people through the throes of grief and mourning, and I try to spread knowledge on this subject wherever I go.
I'll make a point never to share something grotesque or off color, however I do believe in exposing the good in death. You may ask, what is good about death? well, perhaps the death itself isn't good, but the things death can teach us about life are very important, and are often overlooked in our society which today handles death like something to be hidden behind a hospital curtain, away from the fragile eyes of the populace. I really strive to change this image of death in western culture, and I hope that you'll give me a chance to do so. =)
I came to this forum after discovering just how fantastical this fandom was at creating. I've drifted around the internet for several years now, and I have seen various fandoms in all their glory and lack there of. Needless to say, bronies have run home with the gold medal for creativity and drive to release quality product simply out of love for the show or the medium.
The sheer quantity of fantastic fanfare made me delve deeper, and eventually led to me watching the series. I love how deep the characters can be at times, and find myself often enjoying the character driven episodes much more than the more adventurous ones such as return of harmony.
Best pony is Sweetie Belle.
I am a brony very much in love with music, and am looking to eventually form a vocal group with a 1940's/50's theme. If there are any like minded bronies who would be interested in something like that, don't leave me hanging. I feel like i'm the only vocal quartet lover around here. Prove me wrong.
