Life-Update and something I want to say ...

Well, it’s been a while since I wrote one of these …   What’s happened in my life over the past weeks? Well, after quitting on university after five semesters of studying social sciences, I started on my first job; a paid voluntary service, to be exactly. Called Freiwilliges Soziales Jahr (voluntary social year) here in Germany. It’s like a full-time job in a rather easy task with a little wage and some seminars to learn a few things and exchange some experiences with other volunteers. What am

Book Of Life review

After seeing the book of life I have to say, it was a cute movie even if it was about dead people. I recommend watching it. There were several plot twists in the movie but for the most part it was pretty easy to follow. People do die in this film but it's ok because then they come back. Basic story of three friends, two boys one girl, only one of them gets the girl. There were a few feely moments in the movie but they didn't really last long. Although it takes place in Mexico, few Spanish words

My (potential) return to streaming & ideas/details for it!

Some of you know that earlier this year, I did basically daily gaming streams. Nothing insanely special or anything but it was a nice way to hang out with members here and actually be a bit more social since I kinda have the social life of a rock. Rocks aren't too social overall so that isn't too good. For some reason I stopped but I think it was due to me burning myself out. I did it on a daily basis which others might be able to do but I think that it was a bit much for my mind to handle overa

Only the Toughest of Men...

Only the Toughest of Men cuddle with plushies, especially Pony ones! (This is not meant to be taken seriously, I've seen some tough ass guys out there, especially the ones in the Military [And if you are in the Military, whether be it Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines, or a veteran, Thank you for your service! *Salutes* {I was in a Navy class when I was in 6th grade, I was taught how to do stuff. }] that probably don't do so, I just thought How ironic it was that I never really owned a plushie unt

A Pretty Rough Week

Earlier this week, my Mom, my brother, and his girlfriend were in car accident, crashing into the front of a building and destroying the front of the vehicle, making it impossible to drive.   Fortunately, nobody was hurt, though.     The next morning, shockingly, there was another incident where my Mom grazed a deer with the only working car while driving my brother's girlfriend home and was of course more concerned about the animal than the potential damage to our only remaining vehicle, b

MLB: My end-of-year awards

The World Series will be underway in a few days, and there's no baseball in between, so I decided to put my end-of-year awards. The awards are as follows: Comeback Player of the Year Manager of the Year Rookie of the Year Cy Young MVP These awards apply to the regular season only, so postseason performances don't count, and these are my choices for the awards.   AL Comeback Player of the Year: Wade Davis.   Anyone remember how mediocre to poor he was last year in his first year

I have acquired Brony merchandise ~

This week, I had ordered and received two sets of pins, one set was Adventure Time and the other was My Little Pony. (see picture) I am very excited to have them (the MLP pins) because I finally have something to show for my admiration of MLP and as a Brony. Of course my love for MLP is a testament, but having a pin on my hiking pack, some physical "thing" to show for it, is what I am most excited for. Two MLP pins are on my army/hiking backpack, one I placed a circular magnet behind to act as

Ten years ago today: The Steal

Ten years ago, the Curse of the Bambino was still living in Boston lore. The year before, Grady Little's blunder in leaving in Pedro Martinez cost them the lead, the AL pennant, and Little's job.   Fast-forward one year later, and the Yankees led three gamed to none following a 19-8 slaughter. They were three outs away from completing the first LCS sweep since 1995 (Braves over Reds), the first ALCS sweep since the 1990 A's (against Boston). NYY's closer, Mariano Rivera, who came in for the ei

God I miss this.

The feel of a real keyboard, the sound of YouTube, and the look of the MLPForums Web page.   Thea's few things have become a luxury since starting work and having no internet connection at home. The sound of elector swing Playing in the background and the ability to speak with friends and family over the internet has never been so good.
