About this blog

I'll mostly just be talking about anything that interests me. And when I say that, I mean what's going on in the gaming, comic, and TV/Movie community. Mostly video games, though :3

Tails Doll in a Sonic Comic

And here I thought Archie didn't have the guts to put it in. Most of the Sonic fanbase knows about the Tails Doll, but for those that don't know, I'll quickly fill you in. Tails Doll was originally one of the unlockable characters in the Sonic racing game, Sonic R (The soundtrack for that game is AWESOME, by the way. Though, the game itself isn't all that spectacular) Anyways, the Tails Doll has become quite a phenomenon in the gaming community as a whole. He's pretty much been transformed into

Sonic Lost World Comes Out Today!

Today is the day that Sonic Lost World comes out in North America. None of you have any idea how long I've waited for this day. I will just say right now that Sonic the Hedgehog is my favorite video game franchise out there, despite the ups and downs and all-arounds. This is one game I'm definitely getting my hands on as soon as possible. You go, Sonic :3

Why Silver the Hedgehog Needs to be in More Games.

Let's talk about Silver the Hedgehog. Silver is a white psychokinetic hedgehog from the distant future. He can pick up things and fly in the air by simply just thinking about it. Just Silver's concept alone makes him sound like an awesome character. Granted, I don't like the game he originally came from, but that shouldn't mean he doesn't make an appearance in more Sonic games (And don't bring up multiplayer. That doesn't count.) He does have a few flaws, though. In 06, Silver's gameplay was su

Shadow the Hedgehog: If Each Ending was Canon...

For those that don't know about the game 'Shadow the Hedgehog,' I'll fill you in; Shadow the Hedgehog was a Sonic game released in 2005 for the Gamecube, Xbox, and PS2. Surprisingly, the game crashed and burned. Part of the fact came from it's ten alternate endings that you need to complete in order to unlock the final ending. Sometimes I like to think of each ending being in the official canon. However, I know that it could never be possible. Before I continue, here are all the endings in thei

Sonic Boom: This Picture

I know this is just concept art, but when I saw this picture, my jaw almost hit the floor. As far as I'm concerned, Tails and Amy's models are okay. Although, the two models I'm concerned with are Sonic and Knuckles' models, especially Knuckles' model. Sonic seriously needs to take a comb to his quills. In fact, upon seeing the shadows, his model reminded me of Crash Bandicoot a little bit. Now, Knuckles. Knuckles is meant to be a powerhouse, I get that. But, this model doesn't sit well with me

Nintendo and Third-Party Companies

There are three console manufacturers in the world; Microsoft, Sony, and my personal favorite, Nintendo. Though, I've noticed something; whenever a new game comes out, Microsoft and Sony always seem to get the better versions. All the while, Nintendo seems to get the short end of the stick every time. I find that very offensive. I mean, sure, Nintendo is meant to be for people of all ages and Microsoft and Sony are meant for the more mature gaming crowd. Still, that's no reason to downgrade Nin

Shadow the Hedgehog Run-Through Tonight...

Tonight, I'm going to be doing a Shadow the Hedgehog run-through, beginning to end. Every ending, every stage, every mission (possibly), just to be done with this forever. I'm making today's entry about this because I don't think I'll be able to get to make one tonight. I'll be so wrapped up in finally finishing this piece of shit, I won't be able to get to making a geekasm. So, I just decided "Screw it, I'll just make it about the misery I'm going to be put through tonight. Tonight, I destroy

After the Trailer: Kingdom Hearts 3

Me and my friends all love the Kingdom Hearts series. Because of this, we were super hyped when Sony announced that Kingdom Hearts 3 was going to be released on their new PS4. Yes, this game is only going to be single platform, which I'm bummed about. But, I guess it makes sense. Kingdom Hearts is usually released on the Playstations, so I guess they're trying to stay with the program (Yes, I know about the Nintendo exclusives.) Anyways, the game itself looks awesome. The trailer shows all of t

Watch Dogs: Oh, the Irony

I'm sure some of you know about the upcoming Ubisoft game, Watch Dogs. The game let's you use hacking as a weapon to progress through the game. It's pretty much the main concept. Ironically, before this game's release date, something happened to the Ubisoft website. In June or July of this year, one of Ubisoft's websites were considered hacked. This led to all users of the site to be sent emails saying that their log-in info had to be changed. They also closed off any and all access to the site

Sonic Lost World: The Badniks

I'm super hyped for Sonic Lost World. I've mentioned it on several topics on the forums in the past weeks. However, let me briefly touch upon one thing that bothers me a little bit about this title; the badniks. In this game, we're going back to the original formula for Eggman's robots; He captures little woodland creatures and stuffs them inside robots that he calls "badniks." These include the Motobug and the Buzz Bomber. As Sonic runs through whatever stage he's in, he can jump or homing att

Should more Sonic Characters be Playable?

I've been a fan of Sonic the Hedgehog for as long as I can remember. There's just something about the Blue Blur's attitude and speed that appeals to me to my very core. But, I do like the other characters, too. Characters like Knuckles the Echidna, Miles "Tails" Prower, Shadow the Hedgehog, and even Silver the Hedgehog are all great characters that brought smiles to my face in the past. Though, have you noticed how rarely they're playable nowadays? (Don't bring up the Olympic Games. I'm talking

MLP Gamer Pictures on Xbox Live

There are literally MLP FIM gamer tags on Xbox Live available for purchase. When I firs t found this out, I was a bit surprised. Someone over at the Microsoft Corporation is a brony? I didn't see that coming. I might get a pack of these, but I'm likely just going to stick with Sonic or Batman. (Thanks, Ditzy, f

Sonic Adventure 2: The Ultimate Life Form

In Sonic Adventure 2, Shadow the Hedgehog was introduced into the Sonic the Hedgehog universe. He was said to be created as the Ultimate Life Form. However, at the end of the game, you fight the Biolizard, a giant red lizard which is said to be the prototype of the ultimate life form... That's always baffled me for some reason. How in the world do you go from giant-ass lizard to small black hedgehog? Who cares? Obviously SEGA didn't. Science had strange ways of working, wouldn't you say? BIO

Wisp Use in Sonic Lost World

Remember the colorful wisps from Sonic Colors (Or Colours in Canada and Europe?) If not, let me remind you. The wisps were items Sonic could grab to help his advance in the stage. These include the rocket, lazer, and drill wisps. They were the main gimmick of the game and they were pretty fun to use. Lost World brought them back, along with some new ones. However, the wisp use in Colors is infinitely better than in this. The wisps are either unresponsive, a pain in the butt to aim or steer, jus

The Sims 4: EA Strikes Again...

Let me just start off by saying that I enjoy playing the Sims every now and again. But, it's not like a game series I'd enjoy playing everyday. I'll take Sonic over Sims any day. But, I recently heard that the company that makes the Sims, Electronic Arts, is planning to release The Sims 4 in the near future. Now, in my opinion, I don't see the purpose. I mean, granted, The Sims is one of the top selling games of all time. That's probably because of the ten thousand expansion packs (I use the ter

Diablo 3: Similar to Another Game I've Played

Last night, I finally looked at Diablo 3. I got the console version, so I played it with my brother. I'm sure that the PC version of the game is better, but whatever. We spent many hours last night fighting undead and protecting the village of New Tristram. However, this game felt similar to another game. It felt painfully similar to World of Warcraft. Now, not to say that World of Warcraft is bad. I actually played that game for a good while. Both games are made by Blizzard Entertainment. I lik

Why Comics Tell Better Stories than Video Games or TV Shows

Two of my most favorite video game franchises ever are Sonic the Hedgehog and Mega Man. I love the games, the TV shows (Well, some of them at least) and I collect the action figures. I love a lot of video game franchises, but I honestly think you can't go wrong with these two. However, there's also the comic books based off of these two franchises. Both are made by Archie Comics and both share pretty much the same art style. I may love the games, but honestly, I don't think they even compare to

Deadrising 3: Nice Try, Xbox One, but I Still Don't Like you

One of the launch titles for the Xbox One is going to be the newest installment into the Deadrising series, Deadrising 3. Being a fan of the Deadrising series, I busted a nut when I saw that this game was announced. But, that burst of happiness immediately went away when I discovered it was only for the Xbox One. And, I have to ask; Why? If I were Capcom, I'd absolutely HATE to have my newest game be a launch title for the Xbox One. I'd want to put it on the PS4 or Wii U. I guess this is some so

Rayman Games Nowadays

Hey, guys. Sorry for the infrequent blogging. I've just kind of been busy with life, and other things going on around the forums. Plus, I think I kind of come down with something. So, I'm gonna try to keep today's entry short and sweet by explaining my feelings on the Rayman games being made today. I just need to get some sleep. So, I'll go back a few years to Rayman Origins. For those who haven't played it, Rayman Origins is a 2-D side-scrolling platformer adventure released on the Xbox 360, P

Lindsay Lohan Sues Rockstar Games

As many of you know, this is a blog mostly centered around what's currently happening in the gaming community or my opinions that nobody could really care to see. Though, today, I'm gonna talk about a matter that just seems really stupid to me. Everyone knows about the record-breaking success of Grand Theft Auto V. However, there was one mission in particular that led me to today's Geekasm. In a certain Strangers and Freaks mission for Franklin, you're suppose to took a snapshot of a red-headed

The Werehog Stages in Sonic Unleashed

I'm sure plenty of Sonic fans like me have played Sonic Unleashed at one point. The game is said to be the beginning of the heal from Sonic 06, and it shows. I loved Sonic's daytime stages, and I enjoyed the werehog stages... to an extent. In the first half of the game, they seemed pretty awesome to me. I liked this new approach they were taking with Sonic. Yeah, the werewolf thing is a bit of a cliche, but it's still interesting to have Sonic play like this. But, by the time I got to the seco

GTA Online

I'm gonna be completely honest; the first time I played Grand Theft Auto, I absolutely LOATHED it. It's not that I hated playing it. I hated it because it wouldn't LOAD. I'm serious, I was on that "Searching for a session" screen for nearly half an hour. So, after that, I just gave up and decided to finish the main game before I try again. Now that I've done that, I went back to try Online last night. And, I gotta say, I've REALLY been missing out. This multiplayer is probably one of my favorit

5 Reasons Why: You Should Play Farcry 3

Welcome to the first 5 Reasons entry on the blog. This is where I take some sort of game, movie, or comic, and I list 5 reasons why you should or shouldn't play, watch, or read it. (These aren't top 5 lists, by the way. No reason is as important as the others.) These lists are going to be kind of long, so I hope you like reading So, let's begin.   1. Plot: I've played so many FPS's with a plot that is BARELY worth following, mainly from the COD franchise. But, Farcry 3 has a pretty decent pl
