Steven Reviews: Pikmin 3 (Wii U)

After Pikmin 2 made a splash in 2004 on the Gamecube, the franchise just… kind of stopped for awhile. Years passed, and even after the turn of the new decade, a new Pikmin game was nowhere to be seen. Sure, both Pikmin 1 and 2 would get rereleases on the Wii, but other than that, the franchise wasn’t really going forward in terms of series progression.   That is, until 2012, when Pikmin 3 was finally announced, and when it was finally released in 2013. The game wasn’t what most people expected

MLP Review - Double Rainboom

200 subscribers. Holy crap, that's an amazing number. To me, it's incredible that I got to a number like this. Thank you all so much! To celebrate, we're going to take a look at the other fanwork in what I consider a duo in bad MLP FiM fan projects, right next to Dusk's Dawn; Double Rainboom.

[PMV] - Loyalty (Rainbow Dash) (1080p)

And now, for that thing I've been talking about nonstop for almost a week now, the PMV on Rainbow Dash's fan song by AcousticBrony and MandoPony, "Loyalty." Let me know what you think about the final product!

Steven Reviews: Pikmin (Gamecube & Wii)

You guys were probably expecting a review of a Wii U game as the first review of 2014, correct? Well, you would be wrong on that. The game I plan to review is a sequel to a series that already has two installments before it. So, I figured I might as well knock both of those games out before I get to the latest one.   So... Pikmin. Yeah, if you don't know about it, that's understandable. As you can see from the box art. Pikmin was released for the Nintendo Gamecube in 2001. It was also re-relea

Steven Reviews: Pikmin 2 (Gamecube and Wii)

After the release of Pikmin in 2001, the game, to many peoples' surprise, was a smash hit on the Gamecube, both financially and critically. Over one million copies were sold worldwide and it's still considered one of the greater Gamecube titles. With how well the first game did, the head of Nintendo, Shigeru Miyamoto, would announce a sequel being in development in December of 2002.   Nearly two years later, in August 2004, Pikmin 2 was released on the shelves in North America. Just like the f

Should MLP "Analysis" Be Opinionated or Entertaining?

An argument that I've heard going on in and out of the MLP analysis community, especially ever since Tommy Oliver and Drowning in Horseshoes left a few months ago, is "Should analysis be more about opinions or more about entertainment." What a fascinating argument! Let's throw my two cents in... and your pitchforks.

Sonic Boom Cartoon Review

Here's a little thing I've been putting off for awhile. I've finally made a review on the Sonic Boom cartoon series. Slice of Life was taking a long time, so I thought I'd fill in the empty holes in my schedule with this, a cartoon that makes the Sonic Boom spin-off... a little more bearable.

5 Reasons why you should Buy the Wii U

For those who have read my Sonic Lost World Review, you know that I got a Wii U over the holidays. Don't believe me? Well, here's a picture. When I got this thing, I was expecting a completely different way of gaming. Sure enough, Nintendo provided that, as well as some other aspects of console gaming that I'm familiar with. Personally, I think the Wii U topples the PS4 and Xbox One. But, I'm going to explain my reasoning behind this. So, join me as I give you five reasons why you should buy

MLP Review - Make New Friends But Keep Discord

The Spirit of Chaos gets his time to shine in this week's new episode "Make New Friends But Keep Discord." This video is more or less a quick review, but I also have a few things to get off my chest, regrettably in the very middle of the video. Nevertheless, let's sharpen our critique sticks and review Episode 7 of MLP FiM Season 5!

Thank you all... for Helping Me Realize what's Important

My resolution for this year was to earn a thousand brohoofs. For a moment, I became so overwhelmed by the numbers. It's really all I thought about. I've been seeing all of these people that were ranking in brohoofs by the thousands. It made me want to be like them. I looked up to the members like Dsanders, Skylar, and ChampionRD92. They made me want to be like them; having the amount of popularity they had...   That was until I actually talked to them through PM's. I treated them like gods. Bu

What should we do for 100 subs?

Recently. my YouTube channel, GeekySteven, passed 100 subscribers on YouTube. I want some help figuring out how to celebrate it. I was thinking of a Smash Bros. or pony livestream, but I thought "That's a bit ambitious, and people have their own lives to live." Regardless, what do you guys think we should do to celebrate this? Leave your suggestions below And, to those who watch my stuff, I can't appreciate the support enough. Thank you for helping me reach this milestone https://www.youtube

Equestria Girls: Friendship Games - Clones in EQG

Past Analysis just keeps on giving me ideas for videos, doesn't he? Today, I'm going to touch upon a subject I think is pretty overlooked: Clone Characters in the MLP Equestria Girls movies. Yes, the Star Wars bit is totally necessary.

Geeky Game Review- The Last of Us

Well, I spent quite a bit getting this done. Hopefully after this, I can take a small break for the month of April, and just live life a little. Nevertheless, today, we're going to review the PS3/PS4 exclusive, The Last of Us. If you guys enjoy it, please go the extra mile and leave a like on the video page. Also, tell me what you think about this game if you've ever experienced it! I'd love to discuss it with you.

Steven Reviews: Shadow the Hedgehog (Gamecube, Playstation 2, and Xbox)

Last week, I reviewed Sonic the Hedgehog's 2011 outing, Sonic Generations. When I finished the review, I gave the game a grade A. I get the feeling that, after I do this kind of stuff for awhile, I think people will get the idea that I'll like pretty much anything that has Sonic's name on it. Allow me to put those thoughts to rest early by reviewing a Sonic game that I DON'T like. Specifically, Shadow the Hedgehog. (Before you read any further, I'm just going to warn you; this review is going to

Rarity PMV (Generosity)

Some of you guys may remember a PMV I made a couple months ago. The PMV was on Rainbow Dash with Mandopony's "Loyalty." I decided, since I had fun making the first PMV, that I'd make another one. This time, I have created a PMV on Rarity with "Generosity" another Mandopony song. This PMV took me about a week and a half of nonstop work to make, but I think it turned out better than Loyalty did. Like last time, I want you guys to let me know what you think of the PMV, and if I should make a 3rd o

Geek0zoid's Holiday Commentaries - Sonic Rainboom

(It should work now, guys!) Sorry about the inverted video, guys. It's About Time was blocked due to a content ID claim, and Quilled Inc suggested that I filp the video horizontally to avoid getting claimed again. I apologize if this seems a bit jarring, but unless I make it an audio-only comm, this is one of the only solutions I have. In any case, here is our commentary over the oh-so controversial Sonic Rainboom! If you enjoyed this commentary, would you please go the extra mile and giv

Geeky Game Review - Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric (Wii U)

I'm pretty sure a lot of you know about the over-two-week-old Sonic Boom debacle. If you're a Sonic fan, a Wii U owner, or even a gamer on these forums, I'm sure you've at least heard about it. This is all over one game; Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric for the Nintendo Wii U. This game has suffered a MAJOR backlash, with SEGA not giving out review copies, fans showing off glitches and bugs, etc. But, how truly bad is this game? Does it deserve this backlash? Let's attempt to answer that question...

Steven Reviews: Sonic Colors (Sonic Colours) (Wii)

Happy Holidays, everybody. I hope you all have big plans this year, for whatever you celebrate. I sure do. But, I'm looking forward to reviewing Sonic Lost World on the final Saturday of 2013. The game is said to be a sequel to today's game, Sonic Colors. So, I thought "Hey, what better way to get ready for that review than to do the game it's based off of?" So, without further delay, here is my review for Sonic Colors on the Nintendo Wii.   I'll be completely honest, last weekend was the firs

Geeky Game Review- Sonic Generations (360, PS3, PC)

The bad taste of Rise of Lyric is still lingering in my mouth. As such, I'm not feeling too good about Sonic as a whole. The future is looking extremely bleak for both him and SEGA. However, in an attempt to raise my spirits up, I thought I'd review this game. Today, we're going to look at one of the best 3D Sonic games ever crafted; Sonic Generations If you guys liked my ramblings, please go the extra mile and leave a like on the video.
