*Sigh*

I guess I will never get back into making music again.     Not unless someone can hook me up with a free program of some sorts.

Teaching my brother Minecraft

So my brother had got Minecraft the other day for the XBOne. He has never played it ever since he got blown up by a creeper a few years ago, and now he's giving it a try again. I didn't know exactly what to tell him, so I told him things just as they were coming up. After a few rough nights with skeletons and creepers, he has successfully completed his first house, and he actually said he likes the game. He hates me though, not because I was laughing at him a majority of the time, but once he qu

Two years on the forums

So today marks my second year I have been on the forums. I can say that the time I have spent here has been interesting, with the roller coaster effect and all. I had many down moments while here and I anticipated on leaving multiple times, but the amount of love that is shown by the amazing people here, it encouraged me to stay. By looking at my Welcoming post, it shows how much I have changed in the few years. I went from a shy and timid person, to a....well less shy and timid person XD   ht

Reasons why I need a new laptop

So I had received a Chromebook for my 18th birthday back in 2013. Fast forward 2 years, and it has now come to the point of almost being unusable. I never really liked this thing because it didn't support my needs. There's a possibility that I would still have an iPhone if this laptop supported iTunes. Maybe I could play PC games if it ever supported Steam, but it doesn't.   Don't get me wrong, I liked this thing for the time I had it (even when it worked correctly and didn't crash every so of

Goodbye Satoru Iwata

My second time ever stepping foot in the Nintendo World Store in Manhattan, and it is to pay respects to the man who played a role in the beginning of my video game career. He will dearly be missed by the gaming community. Goodbye Satoru Iwata.     Here's what I wrote in the book that was there.     And here's a little memorial that was there.

I'm finally on some sorta news source!

So I went to an episode 100 celebration meetup last weekend to see the new episode. It was a great episode. After the episode viewing was over, I played in a Smash Bros Tournament, placed fourth in it, and won this water color Pinkie Pie book, where the only requirement is water. During the tournament, however, there were people taking pictures of those that were playing the game, and I thought that they would have been posted on the meetup page i'm apart of. But no, I receive an email from the

1934 US 20 dollar bill

While I was looking for my mom's social security card, since the AT&T representative I was on the phone with wanted the account holder's social, I stumbled upon this 20 dollar bill.   It looked old since it doesn't look like our current one's, so I wanted to know what year it was from, and to my surprise, it was made in 1934.     This bill has been through a ton of history. It's been through The Great Depression, World War II (this probably could have been in the pocket of a WWII ve

*Urgent* help with Samsung Galaxy phone

So my parents are taking my Samsung Galaxy S4 Active phone tomorrow to get it checked out and solve a battery issue. There is a possibility of it being replaced with a new phone since the warranty on it has not been voided. I have no idea how to store all of my stuff that I have on the phone. I would store it on my laptop, if it wasn't a crappy Chromebook, which can't do anything (it doesn't support Steam, iTunes, or any of the fun stuff). So I wanted to know if anyone can help me with this prob

My Insecurity on speaking

This blog entry is long overdue and it is time I get this out there.   If it is not known by the title, I have a problem speaking. I speak very little or not at all when in school. This same thing happens when I am out with some friends (that are not from school.) Now here is the strange thing. I have no problem at all with public speaking in front of large crowds. I read the introduction to my 5th grade graduation, and performed multiple skits where I had the main speaking role.   So what c

My Mountain Bike

When you have a small room in a small apartment, and have to share a room with a sibling, you have to have your bike suspended from the ceiling while it hangs over your head while you sleep.

Am I a real life Twilight Sparkle?

I think I am a real life Twilight Sparkle. I don't have any friends (the people I hang with at school, I now consider acquaintances) and I am more involved into my studies than making new ones. My homeroom teacher has a lot of hope put into me, like Princess Celestia, and I have a problem where everything must be perfect, in a OCD sort of way (for example I wanted to cut my birthday cake into even symmetrical pieces and perfect right angles yesterday, but it was completely ruined when my mom got

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!

I'm very glad to see another year in life. I am 20 years old today and I am very thankful for that since it is difficult for a man of color out there in this world to see such an age. I was fearing this age before I even turned 19, but now I'm looking forward to what this year has in store.

Apparently I was a Brony at a very young age.

After the movies today on my sister's birthday, we went out to Olive Garden for dinner. Towards the end of our meal, my dad brought up a picture of me at about 4-5 years old sitting on a small white rocking horse in a photo shoot on his phone. My dad said "it's Jamar on a pony" at the table and my brother comes out saying "that's how it started," meaning that my love for ponies was when I was really young. My family laughed at that except me. I couldn't help but smile not because I was embarrass

The one thing that bothered me about the Superman movie "Man of Steel" (Sorta Reveiw-ish)

So I have seen the movie "Man of Steel" immediately after I saw the first Equestria Girls movie in theaters back in 2013. I had no thought of the movie until I saw it on TV a few days ago. The one thing that really bothered me about that movie was how everything moved so quickly when in combat. I complained to my dad multiple times about how they were standing in an IHOP one minute and ended up at a Sears the next. Here are some fight scenes from the movie:     Regardless of that, I still

FiM Director Panel SEASON 5 Trailer

So I just got back from a Season 5 Trailer Panel at PonyconNYC. Yes they were the same trailers we already saw, but we were shown exclusive concept art and they looked amazing. I will also say the premiere date of Season 5.   The premeire date of Season 5 is

Two Years a Brony: My second Bronyversary

On February 2, 2013, as I finished watching the episode Cutie Mark Chronicles, I finally considered myself a Brony. I didn't want to give in into admitting that I like My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, for it took 23 episodes, but I finally caved in on this day in 2013.   As I look back at myself before MLP, I was entering a really dark time in my life. ( I guess I can make a brief summary of how I became a Brony.) I started with the first episode on Netflix around the time of the season

My Samsung Chromebook

I had gotten this laptop for my birthday back in April 2013. I loved it since the laptop I had before broke. My love for it went downhill when I tried to download iTunes. Realizing that it doesn't support things like iTunes, and Steam, I disowned it. Other than me dropping my iPhone and the screen shattering, the laptop not supporting what I needed made me switch to a Galaxy Phone in June 2014. I try to love it with what it does have, which isn't much, but now I think it is time for a new one.

2014: A Year in Review

So I was going to wait until New Years Eve to post it, but I rather do it now.   2014 was an iffy year for me. I can’t say it was great, nor can I say it was bad. It was just another year I was able to live (because any day above ground is great, no matter how bad that day was.) So now I am going to pinpoint some of the things, both good and bad, that has happened to me throughout the year.   February: March: April: June: July: August:   September: Oct

Highlights from the week of 12/7/14

Here is my first blog entry on MLP Forums, and I am excited to start posting regularly.   Getting on topic, I didn't have the best week, but some great things happened in the midst of it. My parents went to Pennsylvania Monday and didn't come back until Wednesday afternoon of my dad's birthday, so me and my siblings had the house to ourselves. Also on Wednesday, our school had a basketball game, and we won putting us at 2-0 (1-0 at home and 1-0 on the road.) And my favorite moment, after getti
