BABSCon has been great so far. I haven't spent huge amounts of time at the con because of health issues, but the time I did spend there has been a blast. While hanging with the other staff members of the Poniverse has been great, I wanted to touch on something that had a rather profound impact on me.
I live in the area (sort of) where BABSCon is being held, the bay area of Northern California. I haven't been happy here for quite a while for a variety of reasons, and my husband and I are work
I'm shutting down my office, and by the time anypone reads this, I'll be on the road to BABS!
Unlike the others, I've only been planning on going since the end of November. And, since I'm a Pegasus and all, I'm not actually going to be on the road, I'm just gonna fly. So no Jetplane joke. :U
Things have been a bit of a whirlwind for me. I only got onto the staff in November/December, and jokes about bringing the panel members coffee sprang up immediately. The next thing you know, I'm on
10 months. That's how long ago I registered for BABSCon. I've spent ten months waiting and preparing for BABSCon and now I'm sitting at an airport waiting to leave for Burlingame. It's hard to believe such a long wait is finally coming to an end.
A ton has changed for me since I first decided to return to BABSCon back in late May of last year when I bought my badge. Ten months ago I was living in another state, planning on going to BABSCon with one or two friends, and having a relaxing weeke

So, one of the reasons that Twilight and I are actually similar is this reliance on making lists. I started out with an excessively long BABSCon travel list to make a 4-5 day absence during Easter Weekend as easy on my wife and kids as possible. I hate the idea her being burdened just because I am going to be in Pony heaven for a few days. At the beginning I had 96 items. You read that right ... 96 items. I'm on the first stop on my road to BABS. Today I'm flying out to hang out with @Simon, until Thursday, when we head to San Francisco for the convention.
At the moment, I'm in the Houston Airport, waiting at the gate for my flight, which is in another hour and a half. I had some Dunkin' Donuts for breakfast and have been watching TFS videos and episodes of Steven Universe while I wait. I'm so excited to really get this trip started I can't even begin to describe it

The road to BABSCon has been quite an adventure thus far.
Looking back at how I made my decision to travel clear across the United States to attend this convention I realize that my participation in this event can be traced to one person: Simon. So now seems as good of a time as any to make the preliminary post in our BABSCon blog. For anybody that didn't see it, Poniverse will be hosting a panel and running a table at BABSCon next month!
