Comic-Con Day 1: Rockin it out in Room 6A

So here it is.  The first day of Comic-Con.  And BOY Was it crowded or what. A majority of the Panels I went to today took place in Room 6A.  A room that I will return to tomorrow for My Little Pony 1) Teen Titans Go: I know.  It's not one of Warner Bros' best cartoons.  But I went there just for the heck of it, and got to see one of the episodes "The Night Begins to Shine," and it looks like a fun nod to the 80s.  Unfortunately, they only showed the first 3 parts of the episode.  The

Comic-Con Preview night: You messed with the natural ORDAAAAAAAA.

So preview night.  What it is, it's basically a small taste of what is to come for the weekend.  What to expect. Before I begin, I have some bad news.  I'm afraid there is no My Little Pony exclusive this year from Hasbro.  A disappointment from the house of Pony 10 years ago, preview night was not as crowded as it was now.  Nowadays, it's a zoo to go to.  People left and right going in line for the top exclusive, or to meet the guest there.  I was able to meet with Katie Cook and Agne

So what is Comic-Con?

In the next few days, I will be going downtown to attend the San Diego Comic-Con.  I've been doing this since 1999, and yes, I know ticket prices have gone up compared to years past.  In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if it got up to $300 next year. However, before I talk about Comic-Con, lemme talk to you about my experience at this year's Wondercon. Unlike Comic-Con, Wondercon is a much smaller venue.  Furthermore, it's located up in Anaheim, right next to Disneyland.  I went up there

Comic Fest Final Day: Nanomachines Son

It was a short day today. All I did was three panels.   One was a discussion on the San Diego Comic Art Gallery. Strangely when I managed to ask my question, one of the panelists recognized me from when I use to play the Pokemon TCG at the old Wizards of the Coast store in Mission Valley. Surprising, isn't it?   There was also a panel involving Cartoons in space, from Space Ghost to Looney Tunes to even Roger Ramjet.   The final panel involved a discussion over Batman: The Animated Series,

Comic Fest Day 2: No illness can STOP ME!

Despite being sick, I was able to catch the 2nd day of the San Diego Comic Fest.   The first part of my day was at a panel talking about the late Jack Kirby AKA The King of Comics. He was well known for his work at both Marvel and DC. He also sounded like a cool boss to work for(Later on, I may post a small tribute to Jack Kirby)   There was also the talk about the future of Conventions, including the fabled "San Diego Comic-Con." Comic-Con is more of a mission-based convention while its New

Comic Fest Day 1: A new location, a new quest

So here's how the first day went.   First off, I took my brother with me and he went with me to at least three panels.   The first panel was all about "Take That, Adolf." It was all about the American Comic Book's war on the Nazis. They showcased a variety of covers, especially a few from Jack Kirby and Joe Simon. Interestingly, DC Comics kept mum about putting in actual Nazis in their drawings all while other comic book publishers went nuts.   The second panel was an episode of the X-Men:

What is the San Diego Comic Fest?

Tomorrow, I will go to my second Convention of the year: The San Diego Comic Fest. It's a smaller convention compared to Comic-Con and Wondercon, more like the early days of Comic-Con. A few of the guests there originated from Comic-Con(For example: Mark Evanier has previously been a guest at Comic-Con since Day 1 and is recently coming down to celebrate the late Jack Kirby).   If you live in the San Diego area, here's the link. It will go from tomorrow to Monday.   www.sdcomicfest.org

Pacific Ponycon Final Day: The Sun Sets once more

I left much later than usual due to relatives showing up for breakfast. Thankfully, my first panel didn't start till at least 11:30AM. It was the IDW Comic Artists panel. They talk about their experience on My Little Pony the Comic series, and any advice they gave is all about how to be a better artist. Interestingly, they all have used a Wacom Cintiq(Which I own)   Also, during that panel, a mother and her son talked to the panelists. Her son, who has autism, had problems connecting with

Pacific PonyCon Day 2: Just a day in the Looney Bin

Day two started earlier than usual. After I ate Pancakes at the Claim Jumper, I went over to Mummified's Your OC Sucks panel, where he talks about many elements on how to make a good Original Character for My Little Pony. I did a sketch of a character that was apart of my OC idea. When I showed him, he actually did liked it, but he gave me a suggestion when it came to looks(Which I took to heart and applied it. Now I think it looks perfect)   Next came the Tabitha St. Germain panel, where

Pacific PonyCon Day 1: The Sun has touched down.

So Day One of Pacific Ponycon just came and went. Here's how it went for me.   First panel I went to was the "Bronies React" panel. It's where Bronies take alook at videos on Youtube, mostly My Little Pony related, and they react to it(Like Kids React to or Teens React to). Surprisingly, they know about Ghost of True Capitalist Radio and the little remix that Alex S did(Melting Pot of Alcohol)   I had lunch at the Claim Jumper later on, and I had a bowl of Creamy Chicken Tortilla Soup. Star Wars-Themed My Little Pony Toys?

As you all know, Hasbro is NOT only the main provider of Star Wars toys(Especially the Black Series), but also Marvel and Disney Princess toys as well(And there are still rumors that Disney could buy out Hasbro, making them owners of not just My Little Pony, but also Transformers and GI-Joe). Also, Star Wars is about to celebrate its 40th Anniversary.   But how would you all react if Disney and Hasbro reached a deal where the My Little Pony toy series got a Star Wars-themed Spin-off? Like, f

A Space Jam Gaiden RPG of my own idea

As I'm considering about re-watching Space Jam tomorrow, I'm thinking of an ideal Space Jam RPG which I dub "Space Jam Gaiden." This is an idea that Warner Bros should consider with Obsidian Entertainment as the developers.   The story involves the city of Warneropolis being taken over the the All-Star Mon-Stars, who now implement a dystopian orwell-like status for the entire city, and even forcing citizens to take up Basketball regardless if they like it or not. They even imprisoned well-kn

My idea of a My Little Pony Season 7 Premier

This was just something I brainstormed up throughout the last few days.   Sometime after the events of "To Where and Back Again," Celestia was arguing with the parliament not just over the new alliance with the reformed Changelings(Lead by King Thorax), but also Starlight Glimmer. The members of the Parliament consider the changelings too dangerous to be considered allies, and they consider Starlight Glimmer to be too much of a risk. They demand that Celestia hand over Starlight Glimmer for

I'm pretty much done with buying Physical Comics

And this is gonna sound like some ad. But I'm gonna make it clear. I'm pretty much done with buying Comic Books. Why?   Plain and simple. The digital alternative to physical comics is more and more interesting to check out. Mainly if it has to do with one of two websites.   Comixology Humble Bundle   Both offer great deals when they come around. And furthermore, both offer DRM-free comics. Which means you can share them with whoever you know, and you can view them on your Tablet, Sm

What My Little Pony characters would be in Snow White

Does anyone here remember the Brothers Grimm tale of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs? What about the Disney version?   Anyway, I had an idea of how a cast would play out if there was a My Little Pony take on Snow White   Fluttershy(Obviously)- Snow White Thunderlane- The Prince Spoiled Milk/Rich- The Wicked Queen   The Seven Dwarfs: Sunset Shimmer Starlight Glimmer Trixie Discord Big Macintosh Pinkie Pie Derpy Hooves

So, my thoughts on "The Best Night Ever," plus Star Wars: The Clone Wars part 1

The first Season finale. Long before Season Finales were two-parters and had villains for the Mane 6 to take on.   It was originally hyped up for the first Season: Wanting to explore what may be the best night ever for our heroines. Hoping for their dreams to come true   Applejack: Business for Sweet Apple Acres Rainbow Dash: Hanging with the Wonderbolts Pinkie Pie: Partying out Fluttershy: Befriend the animals Rarity: Meeting the love of her dreams Twilight sparkle: Hanging out with the p

It's time I started watching the Season Finales of My Little Pony

Before this month is over, Season 6 will have come to an end for My Little Pony. It's been a long one and we're about to go out in style.   Before I do so, I'm gonna rewatch all 5 Season Finales:   This week, I'll be rewatching both "The Best Night Ever" and "A Canterlot Wedding."   Next week, it will be Magical Mystery Cure and Twilight's Kingdom   And the following week, The Cutie Remark, plus I'm gonna rewatch Star Wars: The Force Awakens just for fun.   Also, each rewatch of a seas

My own idea for a My Little Pony RPG

During my playthrough of Star Wars: The Old Republic's Knights of the Fallen Empire expansion, I thought to myself "I wonder how My Little Pony would play out if this kind of RPG was implemented into the series?"   This is how my idea would play out. The main story involves a colt emperor from a far away land invading Equestria with an army that dwarfs the Equestrian army. Even with allies like the Yaks, the Griffins and the Dragons, the Equestrian army is no match for the Imperial army. Ev

So who here has tried out the Playstation Now on PC?

So recently, I decided to give the Playstation Now a try through the 7 day free period. I had a great online provider(Cox), and I had a Logitech F310 controller.   They both worked well and I was able to enjoy playing one game: Katamari Forever. Damn, that game is addictive.   But I dunno if I want to put down the $20 a month for the service, mainly because I'll end up forgetting about it. What PS3 exclusive on the PSNow would you recommend that I try out?

Would you ever want Star Wars-themed My Little Pony toys?

As you all know, next year is Star Wars's 40th Anniversary, and I expect this to be as big as possible. And as you all know, Hasbro is the primary toy maker of Star Wars figures, especially the higher-quality Black Series figures.   But I always wonder: What would happen if Hasbro worked out a deal with the Walt Disney Company(Their partner) and Lucasarts on giving their My Little Pony franchise a Star Wars promotion? And if it does become reality, how would it be done?   There are three i
