I Had a Moment of Weakness

I normally wouldn't pay this for one game game(or game-pack, in this case) but I'm a shameless Metal Gear fanboy. Just trust me on that, I can fanboy over it with child-like glee to the extent it makes out obsessions with ponies look tame in comparison. Everytime someone mentions it I have to resist the urge drop what I'm doing and go play one.     -----------------------------------------------------   shameless plug of my gamer card so I can show off my cred:

Heavy Rain First Impressions

Heavy Rain seems good so far, like someone gave one of those really art and story focused indie titles a huge budget. Although, I can tell it's going be a emotional trip because I've only played for about an hour and it's almost broken me a couple times already.   I like how it's trying be kind of like one of the old FMV adventure games, but actually good. This is also the first time I've extensively used the six-axis controls on the PS3 and they seem to work well.

About Lauren Faust

You know, I love Lauren Faust and all. She did a great job of giving the show it's first breath of life and creating the world and characters, but one thing grinds my gears:   I can't stand the people that kiss up to her to the extent of disrespecting the show's current staff and make it seem like everything without her direct hand in it is automatically garbage.

Help Me Salvage My YouTube Suggestions

Everyone link awesome and interesting videos, I made the mistake of watching an Amazing Atheist video(as well as another video from someone just as bad) and now my recommendations are full of bullshit.   Everyone help my flood my history with cool videos and fix this.

I Got Some Gaming Stuff(Got Some Good PS3 Games)

Decided to grab some PS3 stuff around town to go with my new PS3(I mainly concentrated on getting the exclusives that look interesting, I'm really happy about MGS4 because I've been wanting to play it for years). All are CIB, Heavy Rain was $10, Resident Evil 5 Gold was $7, MGS4 was $7, and Killzone 2 was $7) I just grabbed the PS1 games because they were at one of the pawnshops for $2.50 each.     I also couldn't resist these for $3 each because I remember getting some as a kid:

I Really Like the New Song(Spoilers)

It kind has this country-pop thing going on, it reminds me of Gloriana a little(or maybe Lady Antebellum). I really like the the songs like this with that little poppy twang to them.     https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LlOAqG_NBjo

Regaurding Loophole Abuse

You just know that in a RPG where you have cut someone's head off to kill them, one of the players is going to argue: "he didn't cut my head off, he just cut my entire body off!"

I Stumbled Across Some Good Game Finds.

Got all these for $12 total(and both the GC and PS2 game are complete)   If you can't see, the SNES games are Biker Mice From Mars and Street Fighter Alpha 2.     and got this for $4(it's a Digital Press R6 on the 10 point rarity scale, which is pretty uncommon)

About Season 4.

I'm laughing at all the people that said season 3 sucked and left, because season 4 is shaping up to the be the best season. We've got to-notch animation all the way through, good writing, good humor, and what appears to be an actual story arc instead of scattered one-shot episodes.   Honestly, it's been a while since I enjoyed an episode quite as much as I've enjoyed the start of Season 4.

So, I've been seeing what the Intel HD Graphics Chip Can Do.

It's by no means good for hardcore gaming, but I've found t's decent for PS2 gen stuff and some early current gen stuff if you crank the setting way down. It seems be good for emulation on up to PS1 as well. A new pentium like this might be a good way to build a emulation rig cheap without having to get a GPU, or you could probably even build a MAME cab with it.   https://www.youtube.com/user/shobonimaster   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0dQ6FODtt38&feature=c4-overview&list=UUnElr

Silent Ponyville Has Come To A Close.

Wow, I guess Silent Ponyville is finally complete. Normally I wouldn't feel so weird, but this is a series of fics that's been going since shortly after season 1 ended, and I've been following myself since November of 2011.   It's also one of the first major fan-fiction projects I started reading. It feels kind of strange and bittersweet seeing it come to a close, because it did have kind of a downer ending that let off on a bit of a disappointing note.   I'm just kinda sad it seems the game

It Was Funny and All But...

But DHX, you may have damned us all to a fan-art based hell I never conceived possible with this....       It was totally worth it though...

I Have An Unique Motivation Problem.

I'm having kind of a problem where I have a lack of motivation to do anything because I keep staring at the distant future and it results in a very nihilistic feeling where everything I try to create or enjoy seems pointless because I all I can think about is when anything I do now will eventually be a distant memory.   I hate it. I want it to go away and I want to just worry about what's happening right now(or just over the course the current year at least)

Damn Writers Block.

I'm having a horrible time hammering lyrics out, literally:   Wash it all away/cleanse away the hate Tear away the lies/strip away the doubt reborn to innocence/reborn to light

So, I Got a New Video Camera.

Picked this up for $70 and I've been messing about with it, I'm happy with the quality for the price, not I just need to figure out what to do with it.   Here's what it looks like, it's a small little thing:

Have a Good Veterans Day

Have a Good Veterans Day, or Remembrance Day, or whatever you may do to honor your troops, I just wanted to take the time acknowledge it, and post a couple related song I like in their honor as well as a old picture I did.     http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k_GFtqT0mWg   http://shobonimaster.deviantart.com/art/Thank-You-192455899

Is This Some Weird Bootleg?

I got this at Gamestop as a kid and forgot about it, but now I'm curious.   It has not labeled and was sold as a DVD     And the disc even says DVD game:     But on the back it has what looks like PS2 game information

Regarding Issues 11&12

I just finished issue 12, that arc should have been subtitled: The 80s Remembered.   Not that it's a bad thing, as someone who grew up with one foot in the 80s it actually made me smile seeing the writers give them a affectionate send-up. It was fun to see all the shout-outs and try and figure them all out.   Also, as small as it is the Highlander/Haylander poster in the one kids basement makes me happy because if nothing else I got one Highlander shout-out in MLP.

I Was Reading TVtropes And Had A Thought About Human Nature

I was reading a page there that brought up a concept of how someone can fake being something for so long it becomes true, and they "become the mask. Anyone of you ever wonder how much of us is who we really are, and how much is just something we faked for so long it become real? I think such a concept explains a lot of the doubts we may all have about our own natures and who we really are, and trying to find the line where we end and the mask begins is a interesting exercise in self-discovery.
