I drink milk from the jug because it's good for the environment

I've always been told that drinking milk from the jug is a bad thing. Well, folks, I'm here to convince you that it's a good thing. Now you might say, "But drinking from the jug spreads germs!" And I'll say, "How about a nice, hot cup of SHUT THE HELL UP?!"

So how is drinking milk from the jug good? Well, Johnny boy, when you drink directly from the jug, what is the thing you do not use? A cup. When you don't use a cup, that is a cup that doesn't end up in the sink and that means there are less dishes to wash. When there are less dishes to wash, there are less dishes to rinse. When there are less dishes to rinse, you save water. And when you save water, Mother Nature smiles upon you for helping to save finite water for future generations.

And if you use disposable cups, you've eliminated one cup from ending up in a landfill for the time being.

So if you drink the milk out of the jug, give yourself a pat on the back. You've earned it.

Hmm...makes sense.  On the other hand, in order for it to be sanitary we'd have to have everyone have their own jug, which means increased demand for plastic, which means we deplete oil reserves faster, which means we'll have to drill in Alaska, which means we'll have to spoil the environment there.  Unless, of course, we bring back the milkman, but that will still require a lot of water rinsing.

I'd also question the assumption that water is a finite resource because it has a relatively quick cycle for replenishment, but that may not be true for all cases.

On a side note, drinking milk is bad for the environment anyway.  :P

@@OptimisticNeighsayer, Nope on the milkmen. They drive trucks that use fossil fuels and further deplete oil reserves. I only accept milk delivered by a milkman in a horse drawn carriage. YOU'RE NOT THINKING GREEN ENOUGH!

By the way I hope you're not taking this seriously. This wasn't meant to be serious lol

Hmm... Except that it's impossible to waste water because water goes through an infinite cycle, and no water is leaving the system of earth.
