Recent Occurrences

Hello to the 2 or so people that still view my profile and blog! I came here to post about recent occurrences, and things to come.

The first is that I will have even less time on here due to a full time show choir schedule now.

Second, for any of y'all living near Fort Wayne in Indiana, I am performing at the Embassy Theatre in Fort Wayne on July 26, 2014 at 2:00 PM. More details for the production are coming soon.

Now, for the most important part of this entry. I've actually begun preaching at my church, which I am excited for. At the current state, my pastor is hoping that I will earn the title of "Pastor" in a couple of years.

As for what the presentation was about, I was talking about a debate held in Science class on my last day of school. I'll tell the story below in a spoiler. A bit of warning, there is a LOT of Christian views and beliefs below, so, if you're fine with that, read on.

It all began at the beginning of the final quarter of Science Class. I listened as it was being explained that we were studying Life Science. My teacher explained that we had to accept the Theory of Evolution as fact. My teacher, himself a Christian, was none too pleased with the scenario as I was. I was outraged that I was being told I had to believe a faulty theory. I stood up and spoke on why I thought it was outrageous that we has to accept a called "theory" as a fact, even though it is a faulty theory in itself. I spoke for around five minutes on the matter before I stopped. My teacher was surprised, and said that he was pleased that a student had brought up a counter thesis to Evolution. So, he said, instead of learning and accepting the theory of evolution, we were going to hold a debate on the final day of school. I said it would be a good idea. So, the teams were then formed. The class contained around 30 people. There were 8 people on my team, including me. Our job was to prove that the Biblical account of creationism was the true way earth and life began. The other 22 were on a team to prove evolution right. In the nine weeks that followed, I did not mention the debate to others as I researched why evolution is faulty, coming up with evidence against evolution that tore the entire theory almost to shreds. The day of the debate arrived, and for 42 minutes, the two teams debated, with a 25 person seventh grade class watching us. Much evidence was shared, and, in the end, the seventh grade class voted who they thought won the debate. The victory for my small team was outstanding. 23 of the seventh graders voted for Creationism, and 2 for evolution. After the seventh graders left, around 7 or so people from the other team came to me, wanting to learn more about Creationism. By the end of the day, those seven former Atheists were blooming Christians. They politely requested I not say their names, so I shall not share them here.

So there you have it, my story. If any of you either want to debate me yourself, or hear some if the evidence I shared with the other team, just PM me, and I'll gladly respond.

Thank you all for reading! God bless! :)

I would think that a majority Christian class would vote in favor of Creationism.

The majority was Atheist. Almost 3/4 of my school's students are Athiests, according to a tally made by the school on May 28.
