Entry 5: My Mini-Rant on How bronies treat Littlest Pet Shop (+ a slight talk about the show itself)

blog-0179056001352580104.pngYou see those dislikes? Really Bronies?

I remember Laruen Faust saying we were open minded. Apparently we aren't after all.

I don't even see why you won't give LPS a shot but you gave MLP one.

Comparing what we thought of the old MLP and LPS, LPS would actually probably be more masculine.

I watched the first episode and it doesn't deserve these dislikes. It's a first episode, so it's not perfect. I actually like it better then the first episode of MLP. (Those who know me, probably know I really don't like the first two episodes of the series).

It has good humor, great music, doesn't seem like the majority are based on cliches. I just need to see four more episodes to see if I will follow it.

The show does have promise though, and I am actually looking forward to the next episode.

Now, one final thing. I understand not everyone will like it, but it isn't as bad as the care bears or strawberry shortcake. Not by a long shot. Just be like what Laruen Faust said: Open minded.

I know some hater who are very upset that LPS was made, so it might not even be bronys who are down voting it.

its because the less-respectful bronies place MLP on such a high pedestal that anything that comes close to MLP or similar to MLP gets slammed and shunned immediately as if that show is trying to copy MLP. If they're actively seeking out LPS stuff to downvote and stuff then that's just sad.

It's meh...as a person who used to play with the toys, I can assure that the actual toys are more entertaining than this. I checked it out, it just didn't entertain me like MLP does.

I doubt you will see this but there is a problem. You are comparing 2 episodes to a show that has been going on it's third season. You also using pilot as a judge for the entire series which isn't the best idea.

I don't understand how bronies place MLPFIM on a high pedastal; as a children's show, it's much better than average. As a family show in general, it is pretty good, perhaps more uniqu.

Comparing the new style of MLPFIM, to the style LPS typically had before the show, wouldn't you say there is a resemblance in eyes- the most signifigant trait of both styles. Naturally, with the success of MLPFIM, Hasbro gave the show a similar style to suggest to bronies that LPS might have something in store for the whole family- adults, too. Like good humor, interesting characters, etc.

I personally enjoy the show(LPS)- And like S1 of MLP, there were some great and bad moments. IDK, maybe Hasbro will continue the show and with S2 make it more like MLPFIM- In a GOOD way. As in, character developement, plotting, writing, etc. Only time will tell, but it is more of a kid's show than MLPFIM, it did have a few pop culture references (Star Trek, Thriller, etc). This may just be only the BEGINNING of new, great show (based off their original, bad 90's version)
