im 18 year old im a boy. i like to play with toys i like to watch kids shows and cartoons.

i dont watch any shows that contain verbal or physical violence or attacks. i dont play those kind of games either. i've tried them and watched the shows and played those games so i can try to fit in with the other kids.

im not like the other kids. i noticed that after watching those shows and displaying that kind of media. it always let me with this same feeling. i felt that something is out of place.

it is not correct it is not innocent. it makes me feel depressed inside and i dont like it one bit. then i one happy day started watching the cute innocent show of my little pony. the show showed me the light out of the darkness and when i delved deeper into it i felt happy.

happy like never before i want to be happy. colored pony cuties make me happy. i dont like violence its unhappy

I know what you mean to an extent. I also can't fit in with most people my age. I'm not interested in what's fashionable or "cool". I only seem to care about videogames, animals, you name it, anything they would find gay~.
But darling, what you feel is absolutely normal. It may seem strange but it's common for someone to feel the way you are.
I'm so glad you found MLP and the Brony community. We'll always be here for you darling, no matter what ok?

mlp is a show which made me happy too and it does even when I look at pictures of happy ponies like derpy or rainbow dash.

You're better off not forcing yourself to like what most people like. Most people think I'm weird since I would prefer soda to a beer any day.

Different strokes for different folks. When people tell me watching MLP as a 21 year old male is "unhealthy", I always ask "and what, watching overtly sexual and violent programming is?" I agree that the kids who play Grand Theft Auto and watch slasher movies are far more messed up than we are.

Also, excuse me a Minute while I stand up for my other subculture. Listen, whatever movie you watched, I get the vibe it has some cars in it. I just want to let you know that REAL car guys are nothing like that. If you meet someone claiming to be a car enthusiast who is violent, they're probably trying to compensate for a slow car or some other issue in their life. They're posers, in it so they can look like Vin Diesel, NOT because they actually have a passion.

I should know, I'm getting together with 150 other car guys this weekend and there will be no violence there. Just a group of people drawn together as friends by something they love, just like bronies.

I swear I didn't just think of something car-related when I read that.  Nope.

I feel you, ooBrony.  I started to dislike all the violent shows on TV after getting into ponies.

I understand you ooBrony. Some people don't like violence. Some people can only tolerate certain amounts of violence and only in certain forms. Life was especially tough for me growing up in a bad neighborhood. School was pretty bad too. Only friends and going to the gym or science class made it beareble. Sometimes I just want to erase the pain of the past, forever and ever. The stuff I went through emotionally in the past gave me PTSD.

My Life as a Teenage Robot, music, movies, and the cuteness and awesome My Little Pony, and low dose benzodiazepines(for anxiety and panic attacks) is what helps now. If only society weren't so cruel.

I enjoyed the movie Limitless. It jas a few scenes with violence, but not that many. It's a good movie overall. If you imagine that NZT most stands for confidence, then it's pretty inspiring. NZT-48 is a fictional confidence booster and cognitive enhancer drug with side effects. There's hints at an improved version of the smart drug without side effects. You can give the movie Limitless a chance if you want, and even skip the violent scenes if they're too much for you. It's mostly PG 13 stuff in the movie I think. If only NZT without side effects were real.
