Will the last new episode of My Little Pony, Friendship is Magic for who-knows-how-long close with a bang... or a nightmare?

Nice review, i like the way you linked the situation of this  episode to other episodes (even Tanks for the Memories). We saw Ponies will act irrationally driven by their ego. That what aspects I'm interesting about ponies in Equestria.

Thanks a lot, glad you liked it. And yeah, everyone has to deal with their own ego at some point, which the show seems to realize, because it's spun some pretty interesting stories from it.

Dat Jack Nicholson pic in teh background again, tho.

XD I actually used it for a gag in my Tanks for the Memories review, after getting a few comments on it. Never bad if something stands out, right?

You pretty much hit the nail on the head with why the fanservice in this episode was better placed than in SoL.

Being someone who's had pretty crippling guilt, I know how self-destructive it can get so that part where she confessed hit me at a soft spot. The part about wanting to inflict pain and suffering onto yourself... I can relate to that in a very direct way. I also used to have a very self-destructive tendency to take on a lot of burden on my own and get myself burned out on multiple occasions and placing other people's needs ahead of my own. (Since listening to some of Dr. Gabor Maté's lectures, I've been calling that attitude into question)

Very interesting how you psycho-analyzed Princess Luna in this review. All I could've said was that it felt very in-character for her but you really knocked it out of the ballpark there.

I was hoping the Slice of Life comparison would go over okay.

Glad you liked the analysis. I'm definitely a believer in self-respect, just as much as respect for others. It's really tough to be at your best if you don't have a balance, helping people or otherwise. Thanks for watching.
