Interviewees Needed

Jaxsie (Inactive)

Hello everyone,

I suppose this is a rather strange request, haha. But I'm looking for an Atheist, a Roman Catholic, and a Muslim who are willing to be interviewed for my intercultural communication class assignment. I don't know anyone that are a part of these three groups in real life and your help would really be appreciated. ^^ Here are the questions:

1. What role does religion play in your family?

2. Specifically, how has religion helped shape your family and the relationship among its members?

3. Does your family talk openly about religion often? Have there been conflicts in your family that centered on religion?

4. Does your family eat dinner together?

5. Is there a great deal of "play" and humor in your family?

6. Does your family share leisure time together?

If you are interesting in helping me out, you can post your answers in the comment section -- or if you prefer more privacy, you can send them to me via PM. Thanks in advance! :)

(To avoid the possibility of more than one of each group answering, I'll keep tabs below so people can know if I have a interviewee in a certain group. So far there are none yet.)

One Roman Catholic
One Muslim
One Atheist

Thanks to all the people that decided to be interviewed. Thank you guys! :) /)

I'm Muslim. If I don't live with my parents now, do you want me to talk about life before college or how they live with my sister now? Or were you looking for a younger interviewee? If it's OK for me to respond, I'll send you a PM.

I'm an atheist.

1. What role does religion play in your family?

In my branch of the family, very little. In others, it plays a bit bigger role, but mostly among older family members. Us younger ones are more passive about it.

2. Specifically, how has religion helped shape your family and the relationship among its members?

We haven't needed it to shape our family.

3. Does your family talk openly about religion often? Have there been conflicts in your family that centered on religion?

Nope!

4. Does your family eat dinner together?

Yes, of course. We still are a family, after all.

5. Is there a great deal of "play" and humor in your family?

Yes, but focused on other things, like the cats, technology and science.

6. Does your family share leisure time together?

Again, of course. Religion or not, we're still a family.

Thanks for taking the time to answer the questions, Daring! ^^ You are my Atheist interviewee! I was beginning to worry that no one would respond, haha. :P Again, I really appreciate it. ^^

No problem. I'm pretty open about my atheism, but at the same time I'm pretty passive about religion. Just don't shove your religious beliefs down my throat and I'm cool with you.
