I remember playing this version first before any other version of Pac Man when I was like 4 or 5. I also remember it being very boring and shitty.

Good review! And i agree with you on pretty much everything you said.

 

But still, i have this game and its still really fun to play for me ^^

 

I even showed the game my mother, who knew the arcade version and she also played with this game a lot. Like many weeks.

 

Yes, the game doesnt even come close with its quality to the original port, but i still found this game ( as well as the two atari 2600 sequels ) to be very fun to play.

At the risk of dating myself I got an Atari 2600 and a Pac-Man cartridge as a present for passing fourth grade.  I didn't realize how pitifully poor the transition was at first.  I was just happy to have it at home and I played countless hours on it!  :lol: The Ms. Pac-Man port, released the following year, was a much better game.
