Does the WWE even have an Identity anymore?

I am writing this Blog under the influence of my stomach flu, but this needs to be said. (Yes, i am hero. :P)

Since the Survivors Series, i haven't watched one Raw show completly through. Infact, i haven't watched the last 2 Raw shows at all and quite frankly, i don't think i miss anything, with Sheamus feuding with Roman Reigns for the title.

But not looking at Raw got me thinking. Is it just that, or is there even more to that? And yes, there are even bigger problems.

It's that the WWE has no Identity whatsoever and it shows it's ugly face more then ever.

The WWE wants to be a PG product, to capitalize on the sponsers that they get, be it through the susan g. komen foundation (which are scammers. Don't donate your money to them) Mattel and many Fast Food chains. But at the same time, the time schedule that they show their stuff (i mostly speak about their headshow Raw) speaks against this.

If we look at their wrestlingshows in the 80s and 90s, at a time when Wrestling was also PG, they showed their flagship shows on a saturday morning. Raw is being shown on Monday, between 8 PM and 11 PM. This is not a time slot for a PG show, since most kids have school to attend the next day. And if we are honest, the USA network shows (atleast i heard off) are very cutting-edge, so i don't think alot of kids are allowed to watch the USA Network.

The WWE also mainly gets their money from the WWE Network these days, a service that is mostly used by Teenagers all the way up to people in their 30s, not children.

It's clear that the WWE dosen't know, who they want to sell their product to, or what they want to be.

To put the icing on the cake of this rant, have a picture of Vince Russo.

I'm making a small hunch that half of the people using WW Network use it for NXT and the other half use it for the 90s and 80s shows.

If i had the network, i would mostly watch the old WWF, WCW and ECW stuff, just so i can see that it used to be great.

Eww, Vince Russo.

Here, have some ratings: lol

In times like these, i really wish there was something like a WCW again.

And don't come with TNA. That's an equally bad house all on it's own.

WWE's been unwatchable for me lately (and not just because Seth got hurt :( )

The story lines just haven't been engaging and even when they start to do something good (Undertaker+Kane promo on Wyatt family), it goes on way too long. They waste and job all the best wrestlers (aka Wade Barrett :D ) and let boring old guys like Kane get screen time. Wrestling can be cool, but they refuse to let it happen. As it is, I can't bring myself to watch it.

It's funny, because not watching Raw just shows me how much free time i have. :D

It also shows in the ratings of the last few weeks, which have been some of the worst of the last 20 years. The audience is just sick and tired of the product. It dosen't matter if the in wrestling action is decent, you need to give a shit about the guys in the ring and most of the guys just don't do it for me.

I watched TLC last night and people where chanting for CM Punk, Ric Flair and even John Cena in the Sheamus vs. Reigns Title Match. That just shows how little the audience cared if they even want to see Cena.

I just hope that the next Raw still has shit ratings and that the WWE creatives see it as a wake up call.
