My parents went behind my back and told the rest of the family of me being gay and my brother in-law gave me the speech but not as bad as my dad did and my brother wanted to drive down to were i live and punch me for being gay and i feel like my rights as a person has been taken away by my parents. :(

Geez, I feel sorry for you. Don't worry. We all support you in your life. Don't let anyone bring you down, whether it's a physical or verbal fight. :)

Your 24 years old, according to your profile, you don't legally or in any other way give a crap what your parents say. If they are physically or verbally abusive due to your sexuality report them to the police.

Believe it or not, I might actually call this progress. This is one of the stages that is necessary for them to get past it. They are acknowledging that it is true that you are gay instead of trying to deny it or hide it until they've managed to change you. In a way, they are accepting the fact that they can't change you, and they are probably telling everyone just to vent their frustrations about it.

Well that's harsh. I don't think anyone is gay because of what they watch. But don't worry to much what other people think. We R here to support U.

They'll get over it eventually, you just be you, no matter what they say. If they do anything to harm you, report them, because that is when it has gone way too far. I really hope it doesn't get that far though, you don't deserve any of this nonsense that they are doing.

Just hang in there. Eventually, they'll realize it's hopeless and stupid to keep bringing it up and they'll stop once and for all. If they start to get physically abusive, report them to the police as soon as you get the chance. Best wishes and good luck.

Don't worry man, I'm sure everything will get better soon, as a few people have said before, this is something your parents need to understand, but right now they are just having a hard time trying to understand your decision, even though it may not seem like it, your family will come around sooner or later to respect your choice. The main thing for you to focus on is to never regret your decision, NEVER let them change your mind or force you to change your sexuality because the rest of your family are the ones that need to learn to accept you, no matter how long it takes they have to accept you. All you need to do is wait it out and think of happy things :D
